Assistant Manager Category Planning, Concept to Consumer, Brand Reebok(6months contract)

PURPOSE & OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANIZATION:

 

Drive category business success within guidelines set by Global Concept to Consumer & Merchandising teams

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:   

 

  • Validate market category range within the country Range Architecture based on the Global proposal.
  • Work with Global team to understand category seasonal strategy/priority/insight.
  • Keen understanding of the local market landscape and specific category consumer.
  • Identify gaps in Range and brief Global leveraging feedback from Wholesales channel & Own retail channel including eCommerce consumer counterparts
  • Handover category range plan to Concept to Consumer Assortment Planning Team and Channels.
  • Perform Category forecasting, pricing corridor & segmentation compliance, etc. based on analysis of provided business data.
  • Work with Global to create Special Make-up products or market specific products to leverage brand business.
  • Work within End to End calendar timelines & deliverables
    • Set market prices in local currencies, ensuring pricing harmonization
    • Set volume forecast and define product mix to achieve margin & Net Sales targets
    • Align sample set needs feedback to Global team
    • Local article management + product briefs to Global team
  • Define customer segmentation; Ensure deviations approval on segmentation
  • Gathering collation of market landscape and competition intelligence (category level) and input to Global.
  • Deliver category business proposal presentations at sell-in meeting and hand over to other internal functions and Channels
  • Work with Brand Communications / Activation teams on seasonal category brand calendar creation
  • Participate in Commercial meetings with channels/accounts, and internal Pre-Buy, Final Buy meetings
  • Responsible for in season trading marketing decisions such as discount, product launch date change and managing product delivery timing.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • At least 2 years of marketing management experience with a recognized top tier brand.
  • Exposure to other marketing disciplines preferable, e.g. merchandising, brand communication, or sales experience;
  • Strong numerical / Analytical skills
  • Advanced level of MS Office or any application for presentation and reporting usage
  • Advanced English and Fluent Japanese communication skills.

 

REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • University degree in Business/Marketing Management or equivalent professional experience.
