Associate Manager Business Analyst

Purpose:

As a Business Analyst, you support the execution of Brand strategy and principles during the seasonal range planning phase.  Working with the Senior Manager and collaborating with members of cross functional teams, you will manage data analysis projects, contribute to process improvements, create new tools, drive implementation and best practice sharing.  Your role enables sales growth, improved efficiency, and profitability of the product range.   

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Support the Senior Manager in the front-end process of cleaning, organizing and merging multiple data sets; therefore, candidates must possess advanced skills in Excel.  Any experience with Access, Python, or Tableau is a plus.
  • You will support the back-end process of working with forecasting data to analyze growth and efficiency across the brand, monitoring product pricing corridors, and providing range size recommendations to the Product Marketing teams.
  • Create model/article count recommendations per category, gender, product type and price-point based on a comprehensive analysis of current and past seasons product performance.
  • Incorporate multiple data sources and methodologies, including forecasting data, historical sales data, marketing initiatives, and category targets, to drive product range guidance and find answers to business questions.
  • Use data to make decisions, influence outcomes and provide actionable insights.
  • Collaborate in a fast-paced environment that focuses on delivering value to stakeholders across the business

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  

  • Proficiency with advanced data analytics, exploratory analysis and statistical methodologies, and Excel pivot tables/macros.
  • Data visualization skills with the ability to translate data into Excel and Tableau dashboards.
  • Self-starter that takes initiative, thinks beyond initial brief and drives for results.
  • Strong at prioritizing, managing and completing projects under a deadline with accuracy.
  • A team player and relationship builder that excels while working with diverse groups of people in an ambiguous environment.
  • Intellectually curious with a bias for action
  • Fluency in written and spoken English a must, second language a plus.

 

Qualifications (Minimum required education and experience):  

  • BA or BS degree, preferably in business, statistics, economics, or computer science
  • 2 years relevant work experience
  • Experience with MicroStrategy or other BI platforms a plus
  • Background in Market Intelligence, Data Analysis, or Consumer Goods
