Key Account Rep, Walmart

Purpose:

Lead the strategic first party sell in and sell through process of footwear at Walmart, ensuring Reebok product is positioned in a premium way for the Walmart consumer.  Provide first in class customer service, while forming strong relationships grounded in respect.    Must demonstrate excellent marketplace and channel knowledge in value, as well as have a high business acumen to help drive both top and bottom-line sales for Reebok at Walmart.  

 

Key Accountabilities: 

  • Key driver of product management within Walmart for both Brick and Mortar and Walmart.com 1P.  Demonstrate strong leadership skills and flawless execution of product planning, working with Product management and CTC on specific programs for Walmart.  Ensures that every step is taken to land balanced, brand-protective and opportunistic assortments of footwear relevant to the Walmart consumer.
  • Accurately forecast future bookings and manage the Assembly replenishment system to ensure optimization, efficiencies and delivery of product. Partner with planning team to deliver +80% forecasts on replenishment.  Confidently communicate PIT sales, quarterly expectations, full year invoiced/net projections, and support budgets. 
  • Minimize inventory risks working closely with Walmart Planning and buying teams. 
  • Manage and own the door allocations as well as mapping exercises against wholesale partner door locations.  Work closely with Brick and Mortar merchants to ensure a premium brand presence and Plan-o-gram for the Reebok brand in store.
  • Standardize weekly meetings with external buying teams to gather sell thru information and analytics that is out of scope from Retail Link. Extract meaningful soundbites of information (ex; regional sales, key markets, competitor launches, GS opportunity, etc), that are then summarized and consistently communicated to internal teams helping shape success within wholesale organization.
  • Strategically guide Assortment plans at Walmart in a calculated and brand-protective approach, ensuring utilization of data, analytics, and consumer insights.   Using data, analytics and consumer insights will guide product direction, set range architecture expectations, and financial KPIs. 
  • Drive brand growth and profitability by assessing and building on areas of momentum, capitalize on product/pricing opportunities and course correct with innovative sales tactics to maintain healthy margins
  • Track all PO/s from order entry to customer, ensuring delivery blocks are removed, ETA’s are on time, and routing issues are cleared for account pick up.
  • Deliver on time reporting and forecasting for all required reports and documents to appropriate parties
  • Ability to lead a business yet foresee challenges before they become major hurdles.  Proactively elevate issues while providing solution-based options.  Trust internal team members to do their job and champion a collaborative work environment.       

 

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Previous experience and knowledge working with Walmart:  Systems, Processes, and Mindset
  • Experience in managing large volume retailer
  • Ability to work cross functionally in an organization
  • Ability to understand POS systems and Ecommerce analytics
  • Strong business acumen. Ability to understand and use financial data to make decisions and influence outcomes.
  • Ability to portray a confident and winning attitude in challenging business interactions.
  • Agile communication skills.  Ability to write and speak clearly in a variety of settings and styles.
  • Efficient organization and planning skills.
  • Strength in problem-solving, with ability to adjust sell in tactics on the spot.  Anticipates issues and devises solutions that create a win/win for both Reebok and Walmart
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and work in an autonomous environment with little direction or supervision.
  • Knowledge of sales processes, procedures and policies
  • A strong understanding of retail sales practices, retail math, and the ability to lay out practical and logical assortment plans based on retail space, inventory turn, and sell through.
  • Technical proficiency with MS applications (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to lift and carry samples and bags weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% 

 

Qualifications:

  • Four-year degree preferably in Business, Marketing, Advertising or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience and knowledge from the brand or retail side of working with Walmart. 
  • Minimum 5 years sales experience in total.
