Senior Manager, Supply Chain Management Product Supply

This Senior Manager in Supply Chain Managemet will lead the Product Supply creation team to develop and maintain systems and practices that drive high stock availability metrics aimed to meet the market’s sales plan while optimizing inventory utilization.  Work with all channel leaders to create opportunities and programs to meet and exceed customer expectations for the brand. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Use in-depth understanding of the extended supply chain to identify needs and develop/implement end-to-end solutions.
  • Manage team to optimally utilize tools, systems, and organizational resources to meet or exceed performance targets related to forecasting, procurement, inventory management, and on-time deliveries.
  • Communicate to and educate team regarding ongoing business challenges in an effort to prioritize workload and anticipate future opportunities.
  • Communicate to and partner with other department heads to define the priorities of the Product Supply team as it relates to strategic initiatives, marketing programs and any key collection launches.
  • Monitor forecasting & purchasing activities while ensuring appropriate inventory levels against plan, managing exceptions as needed.  Partner closely with Demand Planning team and create clear roles and utilization of the demand plan for purchasing activities (e.g., buying, ramp up production)
  • Identify and define goals and initiatives for team that align with corporate objectives. 
  • Lead projects to review operational procedures and practices towards the goal of making continuous process improvement.  Manage on-going projects by defining timelines and milestones, writing project briefs and defining specifications as required.
  • Lead the creation team and support the growth and development for the individual team members, by building skills to coach, setting clear direction and ensure clarity of roles and responsibilities. Communicate and adapt influencing style to engage with different team members and stakeholders.
  • Drive Diversity and Inclusion conversations with the team. Ensure that the company goals and commitments with the movement are met by the team. Be an ally to the movement, participate and engage in meetings and support a feedback culture.

 

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Strong team player with proven ability to work cross functionally to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Strong understanding of demand models, production forecasting, purchasing practices, terminology, basic finance and supply chain principles.
  • Ability to be self-directed while working under tight deadlines
  • Ability to coach, guide, manage and develop direct reports. 
  • Ability to effectively delegate work as appropriate and provide individual goals and development plans to team members.
  • Ability to anticipate problems, offer solutions, develop strategies and address issues within the purchasing process in order to meet financial targets.
  • Ability to effectively communicate (both written and verbal) at all levels of the organization and to lead discussions in small and larger groups.
  • Ability to influence others to build consensus with internal and external partners.
  • Ability to manage and participate in complex global and regional projects as assigned.
  • Ability to understand and use financial data to make decisions and influence outcomes.
  • Advanced MS Office skills and ability to learn and use internal databases. 
  • ERP or SAP Experience preferred.

 

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Four year degree from college or university required with emphasis in supply chain management, logistics, or finance preferred.
  • Minimum five years related progressive work experience and/or training
  • Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for degree.
