2021 US Summer Internship - Product Development

Product Development internships are available in the following functions: Apparel Pattern Making, Footwear Materials & Footwear Product Development 



  • Support the adidas fit & size project which is touching all our business units and all genders (consolidating patterns, creating new patterns, check and add gradings, send patterns to our internal sample studio, attend fittings)  

  • Assist the material development team in daily business such as developing new material with our suppliers, researching on new and existing materials technologies, preparing of material presentations, but as well with administrative tasks like creating material boards, maintaining the fabric library, etc.  

  • Support the product development team with specific parts of the product development process such as style creation, organization of fittings, comment creation, costing and sample management (including testing), benchmark studies  

  • Work with physical and digital prototypes  

  • Work with latest technology and disrupt the industry standards with new innovations  



  • Good textile technology skills; basic understanding of materials and costing  

  • Basic knowledge in pattern creation, from construction, grading and visualization  

  • Basic knowledge of graphic programs such as Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator  

  • Solid project management skills, including the ability to work on several projects simultaneously 

  • Gerber Skills or a similar pattern program  

  • CLO 3D skills or a similar 3D program is a plus  

  • Advanced in MS Office (VBA) 



  • Currently Enrolled in University. Areas of focus include Textile Engineering, Clothing Technology, Garment Design/Technology with a focus on pattern making  

  • Anticipated graduation date is Winter 2021 or Spring 2022 

  • Eligible to work in the US without restrictions. 

  • Available to participate in our full-time internship program from end of May/June to August 2021
