Senior Manager DPC EMC EXPORT
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation:
The vast majority of consumer journeys start online – they like to browse, research and compare products, even if they intend to buy in-store. The way consumers shop is reshaping the marketplace. They are investing in how they reach the consumer online, whilst a new breed of accounts in the form of pure players and eMarketplaces have emerged in our digital ecosystem with new business models to service and sell to our consumers. The Digital Partner Commerce (DPC) team is driving this evolution in digital wholesale and through new business models across our worldwide organization.
As Senior Manager DPC you will be responsible for leading the local strategic export partner responsible for DPC, Wholesale & Franchise across Central Asia, Caucasus, Ukraine, East Europe and other export countries. The purpose of the role is to drive profitable and sustainable market sharegrowth as well as developing programs that will drive key sales levers online and offline. You will work in an agile, fast-paced, global organization where you will need to accelerate digital and B&M sales growth with the selected strategic partner by providing the leadership, expertise and capabilities for “how to win” online and offline by working closely with the Partner and account teams to develop and implement initiatives and sales strategies to improve online and offline performance of adidas products by e.g. improving visibility or conversion / sell through.
Key Responsibilities:
- To be the Account lead for the Strategic partner responsible for DPC, Wholesale and Franchise distribution
- Fully own the Account’s P&L and support Director Digital DPC EMC Export in setting budgets & forecasts for the Strategic partner
- Work closely and collaboratively with key supporting functions to ensure seamless execution of the operating model across the 3 distribution streams.
- Together with the Director DPC EMC Export , you will build a strong and long term profitable relationship with the Strategic partner, driving top to top meetings and strategic discussions with Partners Senior Leadership Team and devise joint business plans (JBP’s), and develop account strategies for achieving commercial and brand objectives
- Ensure smooth end to end process with the strategic account from Sell in, order placement, order book conversions and payments
- To formulate trade investments (TI) and discuss accordingly with digital partner accounts; and frequent tracking of performance against different TI buckets
- Drive a high performing culture and team by leading and influencing 2 direct reports; 1 Manager and 1 Specialist
- Identify possible areas to improve sales of adidas products for our strategic partner and develop initiatives to capture those opportunities; initiatives might include but are not limited to the areas of brand and product launch visibility, product findability, optimal ranging and conversion
- Collaborate with Analytics – Performance Testing to define KPIs for successful proof-of-concept and measure uplift in gaining market share and monitor accounts sell through performance for reorders, incremental net sales and additional business opportunities
- Be the local centre of excellence for DPC Partner Development, Wholesale & Franchise Sales Excellence, Key Account Teams and adidas Business Units to collect ideas and provide guidance on how to improve Digital and B&M sales
- Build a strong internal and external network including key players inside and outside of the industry to further advance adidas digital commerce knowledge and roadmap, and to promote work of DPC within the broader adidas organization and beyond
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- University Degree subject or relevant to industry experience
- 7+ years of professional experience, with extensive experience in Sales (e.g. Pure players, eMarketplaces, Digital consumer experience and/or Digital Marketing, additional Wholesale, Franchise knowledge is a plus)
- Knowledge of local and global E-Commerce & B&M landscape
- Proven sales experience ideally within the sport / retail sector
- Fluent level of English
- Strong industry knowledge, eCom, e-Marketplace, Pureplayers, Wholesale B&M and Franchise with strong cross functional experience across digital marketing and sales
- Very good project management skills, ability to understand and implement strategy, including the ability to lead diverse teams of technical and non-technical roles and several projects simultaneously
- In depth understanding of local markets’ consumers, accounts, economic environment and commercial needs
- Very good communication skills, comfortable presenting complex topics to senior stakeholders and convincing them to follow path of action
