This is a key position within the General Ledger team of the retained Finance team in Amsterdam covering the two crucial areas of Inventory accounting of adidas International Trading AG as well as the Statutory Reporting of the adidas subsidiaries based in the Netherlands and the Swiss obligations of adidas International Trading AG.   
 
Act as key support member to Accounting Senior Manager for monthly closings and Group Reporting.  Produce month end Inventory & GIT reports and reconciling these balances to the closing Trial balance.  Give support in all key projects involving Inventory and supply chain.  
 
Another main focus of this role is to ensure that all statutory reporting obligations and prepared signed and filed within the required timelines.  The Dutch subsidiaries are exempt from audit but still need to be filed in line with Dutch GAAP within reporting deadlines.  For adidas International Trading AG we engage Deloitte to help us prepare in line with Swiss Code of Obligations for external audit from PWC and this role is crucial to that process.
 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Execute month end close process for adidas International Trading AG – inventory and CFIN reporting package 
•    Performing analytical reviews on inventory account balances then prepare and distribute Inventory and GIT reports to Markets 
•    Maintain Warehouse lease database for IFRS16 purposes – additions, renewals, disposals
•    Work with Tradeco Finance specialist to justify inventory balances to external auditors 
•    Pro-actively liaise with controllers and other group companies and departments to ensure accurate, complete and timely financial information. 
•    Preparation of Dutch Statutory accounts for 5 adidas entities based in Amsterdam in a timely manner for reporting obligations
•    Cooperate with external consultant to prepare Swiss statutory accounts for adidas International Trading AG and assist Director & Senior Manager in coordinating the statutory audit with the audit firm in Switzerland 
•    Prepare Central Bureau of Statistics reports for Amsterdam based adidas entities as well as Swiss National Bank reports for adidas International Trading AG.  
•    Prepare/update documentation of accounting procedures within area of responsibility. 
•    Ad hoc projects in relation to inventory and Statutory reporting. 
•    Prepare account reconciliations for Balance Sheet Reconciliation (BSR) tool for inventory
•    Adherence to IFRS, Dutch GAAP and Group Finance Manual.
•    Timeliness of month end close tasks and accuracy of numbers submitted
•    Accuracy of stock reporting Current status of various general ledger accounts (e.g. ageing and clearing of Goods in Transit open items). 
•    Timely, accurate and complete distribution of inventory reports and CFIN (consolidation system) reporting  
•    Timely and accurate filing of Dutch and Swiss Statutory accounts as well as CBS and Swiss National Bank reporting 
•    Adherence to IFRS, Dutch GAAP and group policies.

REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/ MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
•    University degree in Finance/Accounting or a recognized accounting qualification with relevant work experience
•    Complete familiarity with Dutch GAAP and Dutch reporting obligations
•    Knowledge of International Accounting Standards (IFRS) and latest developments.  Swiss Code of Obligations is a bonus.
•    Fluent in English, good knowledge of Dutch would be preferred
•    Strong knowledge of SAP and Microsoft excel is required. S4 Hana is a bonus.
