Assistant Manager, Human Resources

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

Acts as the HR Partner for Retail team of adidas Singapore.

Support Senior Manager, HR, in overall HR strategies and programs.

Lead HR Operations in Singapore location in the interim.



Key Responsibilities:

Core Partnering

  • Support and execute the People Strategy & culture in the Singapore country team
  • Support execution in change management plans, people strategies and solutions, and provide clear communication for line manager or employees when applicable
  • Contribute to analysis of data via HR dashboards, identify trends, and proposes data-driven insights and solutions
  • Ensure our people tools and cycle are leveraged and executed well Support Singapore Lead and deploy on cultural and people engagement activations, e.g. campus closure, employee events, employment branding, etc.
  • Support leaders and line managers in their people R&R, e.g. appraisals, grievance, absence, health & safety, discipline, ethics and code of conduct, etc
  • Stay updated on employment legislation and regulations, HR trends and best practices within Singapore


HR Operations

  • Key contact and first respondent for Retail and Warehouse teams on HR topics, policies, procedures and programs, employee queries, complaints, etc
  • Oversee the processing and review of payroll, ensure data entry accuracy in HRIS and SAP Payroll system, as well as administer annual employee benefits
  • Assist with yearly Salary and Bonus Rounds and promotions
  • Maintain hire to exit employee documentation and processes (onboarding, movement, promotions, exit interviews, etc) in a timely manner
  • Support business in manpower planning, budgeting and PEX forecasting
  • Consult with the business on PEX management and related KPIs (PEX%NS, manpower productivity, attrition) and operationalise the workforce planning process with a focus on Retail

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • HR Capabilities: Labor law. HR Subject Matter Expert, use of HR metrics, maintains external perspective, anticipating people trends, basic employee relations
  • Business Capabilities: Commercial awareness, customer focus, basic understanding of business its value chain and key processes
  • Consulting Capabilities: Basic consulting and counselling capabilities. Ability to deliver and support the selling of HR solutions to the business
  • Customer oriented and strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, presentations skills
  • Experience with HR systems, ideally with SAP-HR


Requisite Education and Experience

  • University degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3-5 years progressive work experience in the field of HR (preferably in an international organization)
  • English fluent (written and oral)
