Assistant Manager, MFS

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

 

 

He/she will achieve this mission by:

 

  • Assist Senior OB Manager to drive multiple function system (work scope would cover ecom orders/VAS/Carton Audit/Normal Packing (1 tote 1 carton)/Singles packing(1 tote Many cartons)/PTO(Pick to order) Packing/Single SKU-Multi Unit/High Value/Confidential products packing/etc.) to reach agreed Service levels so as to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Lead team to achieve or exceed productivity/cost/SLA (service level agreement) KPI target.
  • Training team staff to follow company safety policy (EHS) to create a safety environment.
  • Lead the fulfillment of lean logistics concept and best practice in DC.
  • Make sure safety first and no injuring at work place.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

In project phase:

  • In the project phase, will be the key user to join the testing and training positively, quickly master all relative process .
  • Will be responsible for training end user under his/her work group to ensure all the MFS team staffs and workers be suitable trained and the workflow be executed with high efficiency.

 

After Project Go-life:

 

Collaboration

  • Assist the outbound manager to manage the outbound MFS team
  • Work closely with outbound Manager/ Supervisor of other functions to organize and motivate MFS team to achieve on time delivery performance and outsourced workers performance.
  • Assist outbound manger to work out shift plan, and effectively execute the plan with increasing / reducing temporary staff employed in a timely manner so as to achieve both customer service levels and productivity targets (cost budgets).
  • Communicate effectively with all Peers within the DC ensuring that department KPI are achieved

 

Management

  • Recommends, assist outbound manager to develops, and implements new methods and procedures designed to remedy customer needs while improving compliance, minimizing operating cost, and effecting greater customer satisfaction.
  • Lead the MFS team to fulfill different orders and tasks, monitor both permanent and outsourced workers to  ensure achieve DC performance target.
  • Support outbound manager to create more workable and practical team KPI target and lead the team to be excellent.

 

System and Processes

  • Develops, coordinates, and maintains a system for identification, evaluation of team and employee productivity rates utilizing MA systems tools and reports. 
  • Have enough knowledge for WMS//WES system. Well understand the logic of WMS/WES, which support daily operation Know well distribution center process, always struggle for continuous improvement team operation efficiency and saving cost.
  • Lead MFS team to define problem and analyze root cause, work out corrective and preventive action and optimize SOP continually.

 

People Management

  • Work together with Training supervisor to work out team staff training plan to ensure all team staffs be trained regularly and all the staff is skilled for daily operation.
  • Work closely with sites Health and safety supervisor to Monitor all the team staffs has good controls in place to provide a healthy and safe place for all staff.
  • Develop people, build an efficiency and high quality and cost saving team
  • Lead and manage team staff to learn and execute company policy special the HES policy to build up a safety environment for everyone.

 

The responsibilities are not limited to the above, the job holder will also follow other work assigned by his/her immediate supervisor

Internal

  • DC operation, Global lean management team, Global initiatives team, DC Planning, HR/Admin, IT,

 

External

  • Customers, 3PL, vendors,

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • College or above education background.
  • 3-5 years warehouse background is needed, auto or semi-auto distribution center experience is preferred.
  • Experience in DC/Warehouse workstation management
  • Experience in DC outbound processes which include VAS/B2C/B2B/Pick to order/Trouble resolution/…
  • Ability to communicate fluently in both Mandarin and English.
  • Familiar with WMS/WCS/WES system is preferred
  • Good communication skill
  • Stable personality, Customer-driven orientation, Teamwork
  • Competency with Excel, Word, PPT, Access and MS Project is required.
