Assistant Manager, Purchasing - 9 months contract

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

 

PARTNER WITH SEA TEAMS TO SECURE THE BEST AVAILABILITY FOR THE BUSINESS WITHIN THE GIVEN COST CONSTRAINTS. RESPONSIBLE FOR CONVERTING DEMAND INTO SUPPLY AND PROVIDING ACTIONABLE INSIGHTS TO MEET KPI AND SUPPORT CONTINUOUS PROCESS IMPROVEMENTS

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Daily Operations:

  • Manage E2E SEA adidas purchasing flow from buy decision making – Trade Co Lite interface transfer - PO creation and delivery tracking
  • Monitor and address supplier and demand driven performance issues
  • Manage POM activities and liaise with SEA countries to optimize availability, inventory and costs
  • Manage and coordinate operational reports to support measurement of key performance indicators and delivery performance for business needs
  • Analyze South East Asia reports and conduct activities around purchase orders status, prioritization setting, transportation mode changes and distribution from manufacturing factories and interface with internal stakeholders such as Global Supply Planning (GSP) team / Sourcing team / Customer Service Desk (CSD) to optimize supply availability to meet retail introduction dates.
  • Actively build regular interactions and touch bases with internal stakeholders to improve overall accuracy of reporting information
  • Weekly purchase orders check to make sure in-sync overview between the three different internal systems

 

Process support:

  • Continuous improvements in SEA Purchasing efficiency process (maintenance and improvements in macro example buy decision tool, centralized reporting framework creation, microstrategy)
  • SEA weekly/bi-weekly reporting and process checks

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to understand supply chain issues and drive solutions
  • Strong team player with the ability to work with diverse groups of people in a productive manner
  • Able to prioritize and work under pressure
  • Advanced MS Office (Excel/Access; Outlook; Word; PowerPoint, Macro)
  • SAP knowledge & Access database(plus)

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • University degree or equivalent education required
  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience, preferably in supply chain and/ or sourcing, or footwear and apparel internationally.
