Assistant Manager Brand Partner Integration

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

Our adidas portfolio of contractual partners contains some of the most recognizable and marketable athletes, teams, events, celebrities and influencers across sport and culture. To maximise the commercial impact of these relationships, the Brand Partnerships: Integration team owns the strategic and coordinated planning for our brand ambassadors.  This Brand-led planning approach ensures our most high profile and influential partners are aligned with our most important messaging, while still supporting key product stories across our Business Units and sport categories, delivering coordinated planning for our partners and key concepts.

Integration plan development for our partners’ on and off-pitch is fundamental to shaping both the brand’s profile and the impact of our partnerships towards the consumer.  This role actively leads and shapes the planning for our top ambassadors in sport, like Lionel Messi, Manchester United, Patrick Mahomes, Shaunea Miller-Uibo and Mikaela Shiffrin, to our ambassador relationships across fashion, art and music like Jeremy Scott, Ninja or Stella McCartney and more... Focusing on concept integration planning for our most influential and relevant names, this role’s cross-functional alignment and process management delivers seasonal planning that aligns the top partners with the key concepts seasonally.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Support Brand Partner Integration team with making team agendas, proactively developing and coordinating the material to be used for the 3 Brand Partner Integration Department Heads (“Partners” / “Product” / “Brand Calender Milestones”), preparing presentations and setting up workshops.
  • Cluster, group and link all outputs from team meetings, ensuring clear communications with stakeholders and discipline on Action Items.
  • Access internal databases, input results from surveys (= act as main interface with Global Sports Marketing Operations in Herzo) and manage Partner Mapping insights.
  • Manage and update the Brand Partner Integration plans, if necessary, to accommodate any changes to the process or timelines.
  • Stay up-to-date on Sports and Culture Marketing industry trends, partner activities and behavior and actively share the findings with the team
  • Identify interdependencies with other aspects of change within the company and solve issues proactively.
  • Overall support to Global Brand Partner Integration team on misc. projects where needed to hit OTIF deliverables, based on seasonal and campaign workload spikes (Ex: Impossible is Nothing; Run for the Oceans; Official Match Ball Launch for FIFA 2022 World Cup)
  • Apply appropriate and effective communication methods to senior management and stakeholders throughout the Partner Integration matrix

 

Financials and Data

 

  • Track, analyze and prepare the monthly costs (Marketing Working Budget and T&E forecast vs. actuals) and ensure timely, accurate updates.
  • Ensure that protection and visibility of data is properly managed based on usage and viewing rights

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with different international cultures
  • Good numerical and analytical skills
  • Business mindset: experience in finance
  • Strong interest in sports and the business of sports
  • Good communication skills, especially when interacting with different levels of business
  • Fluent English (verbal and written)
  • Strong MS-Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Four-year college or university degree with focus on Business Administration, Communication or IT or related areas, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of progressive work experience in project management
