Assistant Manager Category Management, NEO

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

  1. Assist in the implement business strategies for the mentioned specific category business and drive the category management and CtC process
  2. Assist to build the specific category image, consumer preference, consumer loyalty to achieve the company sales and profitability target
     
    Key Responsibilities:

Planning

  1. Assist in the implementation category specific plan and strategy based on market data—sell-thru, customer and consumer insights.
  2. Assist in the Development of seasonal ranges that include national/regional launch flows and comprehensive range structure that are supported with initial CtC plans
  3. Assist in the implementation of category development plan in alignment with global vision
  4. Contribute to a fluid commercial input process with full cross-functional collaboration taking into account regional needs and customer/consumer insights
  5. Assist in the implementation of the annual category strategic plan in line with overall company objectives and potential business opportunities
  6. Transfer product knowledge to sales & marketing teams to ensure consistent understanding towards products/key concepts to be able to present a professional image in front of both customers and consumers.
     

Management

  • Be a means of contact and communication with Global BU & CtC team
  1. Coordinate with Brand Communication, Retail Marketing, Marketing Operations, and Concept-to-Consumer teams to have integrated and on-time category product launches 
  • Assist in the preparation and organization of trade meeting presentations, tools and packages
  • Coordinate and communicate with global (and regional) colleagues for category plans, performance and review
     

Financial

  1. Ensure products achieve target standard (list) margins
  2. Assumes responsibility for P/L (up to list margin) of the category
     

Systems and Processes

  • Assist in the implementation of seasonal preparation process to facilitate company business cycle
  • Lead sample management according to the sample management process
  • Maintain all category relevant systems and files such as: Master Calendar files / forecasting, DMT, RMA, etc.
  • Assist in the Co-ordinatination of category communications, promotion, product, retail and trade marketing activities to deliver a clear and consistent message to consumers, the trade, and adidas staff in the region
  • Implement control systems to guarantee high level of integrity
  • Implement and maintain reporting processes for category team

    Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
  8. Functional – 3-5 years of proven marketing experience with 2 years at mid level with major FMCG, sports or Retail companies
  9. Industry – Ideally in apparel/fashion/shoes or FMCG
  10. Exposure – Sports, brand/category marketing, trade marketing
  11. Relevant China marketing experience, preferred
  12. Bachelor's Degree in business related discipline is required
