Assistant Manager Digital Analyst

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

As an Assistant Manager Digital Analytics at adidas you are responsible for delivering cutting-edge analytics services to stakeholders, enabling them to make fact-based decisions. Based on multiple data sources, you manage the generation of insights that help adidas understand consumer behavior and related business performance to ultimately help drive sales. In collaboration with your team, you inform the adidas digital market strategy and provide the factual basis for future consumer demand.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  1. Analytics
  • Support the implementation and development of forecasting processes. Develop strong relationships with business partners to understand the ongoing/planned activations that may impact the forecast and reflect them in the deliverables to improve forecast accuracy on country level.
  • Master a deep understanding of target setting, campaign planning, forecasting processes and data flows to develop these processes further.
  • Build, integrate and maintain automated models to reduce dependability on the manual inputs by designing and developing workflows on Alteryx.
  • Serve as an expert in developing advanced analytics solutions, data modelling and actionable insight capabilities.

 

  1. Consulting
  • Actively participate in identifying opportunities and determine actions that could have direct impact on country forecast accuracy.
  • Provide ad-hoc analyses and build business cases to facilitate insights into the business when needed.
  • Help distill best practice guidance to other markets and other adidas stakeholders to maximize the use of analytics capabilities.

 

  1. Reporting
  • Co-initiate and help implement new reporting structures within your area of responsibility.
  • Ensure data accuracy and quality across the outputs provided.

 

  1. Innovation
  • Build a strong internal and external network, informing the adidas Digital Analytics community on the latest trends and technological advances.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  1. Hard-Skills
  • Expert in MS Excel
  • Experience in using ETL tools (e.g. Alteryx, Knime, SPSS Modeler) supported by the involvement in various projects/workstreams in which these tools are used for automation
  • Basic SQL and coding skills
  • Fluent in English both verbally and written

 

  1. Soft-Skills
  • Ability to understand and analyze complex systems
  • Knowledge of financial/operational processes and KPIs
  • Good communication skills, comfortable presenting complex topics to stakeholders at various organizational levels both in person and remotely
  • Team player and action oriented with a can-do attitude

 

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • University degree in the field of Business, Finance, Engineering or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in Analytics
  • Experience in eCommerce environment is a plus
