Assistant Manager Digital Analytics eCommerce - Temp (maternity leave cover - 12 months)

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

With the fast-changing analytics landscape, this position will be responsible for ensuring that the Market Europe is at the forefront of analytics innovation. The analytics team is at the center of complex questions and business insights that need to be answered. This position will require understanding of basic DBMS concepts and will involve driving, managing and enabling data driven business decisions with other partners like global IT, operations, site merchandising, global analytics and the buying and planning team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Create solutions and insights for ad hoc and recurring requests using SQL, Tableau, Microstrategy and Alteryx
  • Be involved in the creation and execution of analytical use cases that support company key growth initiatives
  • Ensure monthly execution, quality assurance and insights generation when it comes to operational reporting
  • Come up with initiatives and new ways of looking at business performance
  • Provide stakeholders with actionable recommendations and calls for action based on your gathered insights. Translate gathered insights into engaging, actionable and easy to digest insights presentations
  • Support in defining, improving and documenting the current analytical markdown initiatives
  • Translate business requirements into analytical needs and vice versa


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent working knowledge of Excel required
  • Knowledge of SQL basic DBMS knowledge is required
  • Prior experience of BI tools or Alteryx is a plus (Microstrategy, Tableau, Power BI)
  • Excellent and demonstrable analytical and problem solving skills
  • Highly numerate with strong attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrating creativity and initiative and acting in a result orientated way
  • Ability to think creatively and to drive structured & practical solutions within the wider group
  •  Ability to meet critical deadlines with planning and organization skills


Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • University degree in the area of Business, Math, Finance or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in Digital Analytics
  • Experience in eCommerce environment
  • Applied to EU citizens only due to work permit regulations
