Assistant Manager Membership Digital Analytics

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

  • Responsible for conceptualizing an overall analytics and reporting plan for adidas China CRM
  • Analyse registration behaviour, social interactions, transaction offline and online for identifying consumer affinities and enabling consumer specific communication
  • Cognoscente or curious about the latest trends/best practices in data mining, consumer retention, etc
  • Making consumer data easy to assimilate for cross – functional partners, enabling more avenues to understand the adidas end consumer
  • Make A/B testing an important component of all campaigns


Key Responsibilities:


  • Data conscience of the team
  • Set up framework to regularly share insights with channel partners
  • Keeper of all KPI’s tracking and reporting including membership sales and organic revenue impact from membership



  • Clustering
  • Next Best Buy
  • Next purchase period
  • Category Lover score, scoring card
  • Other models to continuously improve our predictive capabilities



  • Own all consumer centered reports across Own Retail, Franchise and eCommerce (TMALL,
  • Monthly, bi-weekly reports as per aligned cadence
  • Tracking and reporting of consumer communicators and campaign for continuous improvement



  • Collaborate on projects related to data
  • Collaborate on all new tools been adopted to provide a consumer pov
  • Data projects for deep dive on consumers


Systems and Processes

  • Ability to quickly gain and understanding of existing CRM and reporting tools (Microsoft Dynamics, Microstrategy, Reporting tool, etc)
  • Awareness of best practice tools in the industry and a clear fact base perspective


People Management

  • Mentor direct report to reach full professional potential via training and counsel


Key Relationships:

Internal: Retail, Franchise, eCommerce, Digital Marking, Digital Hub


External: Agencies, System partners, Academics, etc


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Genuine curiosity about providing the consumer the best possible dialogue with the brand and an eye for detail
  • Solid data analysis experience in CRM relevant position in retail/cosmetics/financial services industry
  • SQL/redshift
  • Data tracking
  • Dashboard, 3rd party tool: tableau/power bi
  • Well versed with statistical methods and tools (R nice to have, Python nice to have) and creating reusable code. Exposure to Machine learning and A/B Testing
  • Exposure to handling big data sets and an understanding of the back-end systems to enable the same would be highly preferred
  • MS Office tools and ability to transform data into understandable insights
  • Proactive and some who takes initiative


Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • Progressive experience within data analytics, consumer analytics experience a plus
  • Understanding of looking and using data derived from various consumer touch points (Retail, online, social, etc)
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Ability to work in a matrix organisation
  • Advanced Degree (PhD, Master’s)
  • Background in quantitative degree (Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering)
