Assistant Manager Trading & Cluster DTC FO - temp until 28.02.2023 - Europe (M/F/D)

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation:

 

•    This role is responsible for executing of the European DTC Trading and Cluster strategy for Bricks and Mortar Factory Outlets supporting qualitative, sustainable and profitable growth. 
•    Key metrics for measuring success outside of financial KPIs are product flow to stores, in store availability/stock quality, on time order creation, weeks cover and delivery monitoring
•    A key focus of this role is communication, flexibility and problem solving to ensure excellence in execution

 

Key Responsibilities: 

 

•    Acquire and develop knowledge of the end-to-end product flow to stores in line with the Trading Guidance, allocation and replenishment strategies and Segmentation guidance to support Cluster Managers to maximise their localized topics and needs
•    Maintain regular contact with District Managers and Store Managers in designated Clusters in executing the Service Level Agreement for all stores
•    Collaborate with Cluster on localisation projects and product requirements, as applicable within European Retail strategy 
•    Deliver excellence in execution in seasonal and day-to-day communication and collaboration with stores to provide optimal ranges, commercial pricing and inventory supply 
•    Issue delivery overview on orders for stores and work with Supply Chain to ensure on time delivery
•    Own maintenance of Store Action Tracker and ensure fulfillment of store product requests
•    Understand the framework for store capacities at class level to monitor and manage over/under supply situations 
•    Maintain accurate and seasonal receiving capacities for all stores to ensure sales related goods receipt in store
•    Conduct store level analysis to support the Cluster Manager and work on clear action plans deriving from analysis: -
o    Bestseller stock supply
o    Black Holes/Slow sellers
o    Fragmented stock/size curves
o    Inventory Aging
o    Product related KPIs e.g., Tops to bottoms. Socks to shoes, division shares
o    Range and inventory quality
o    Ad hoc analysis as requested
•    Monitor adherence to intake and grading targets for all stores and derive action plans where needed
•    Monitor the Dynamic Buffer Management (DBM) system output against targets and trigger change where required
•    Manage inventory in stores, considering bestsellers and black holes and stock to sales ratios
•    Support Trading input to Factory Outlet Excellence on range needs for new stores / remodels 
•    Responsible for final selection, allocation and replenishment or articles for stores based on the Trading Guidance provided by Assortment Planning and Buying, for assigned product categories
•    Responsible for final selection, allocation and replenishment or articles for new stores and remodels based on cluster input and BPM location information 
•    Input on localisation on planning of product flow for Marketing campaigns and promotions (European and local) incl EOSS
•    Coordinate DC inventory efficiency strategies to reduce article count and clear pick-faces
•    Any other ad hoc tasks or projects relevant to area of responsibility as designated by Line Manager

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

 

•    Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office & Microstrategy
•    Fluent in English (Additional language is an advantage)
•    Knowledge of retail management systems
•    Good analytical skills & commercial skills
•    Good communication and presentation skills
•    Structured, organized and process-orientated 
•    Ability to drive a service orientated team 
•    Very good knowledge of detail but ability to derive end-to-end picture
•    Ability to work effectively within a team environment and under pressure


Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

 

•    University degree in Business or Finance, ideally with Marketing and Sales focus or equivalent professional experience. Retail experience beneficial 
•    Minimum 1-3 years' experience in respective job or job function
