Coordinator, Field Visual Merchandising (Maternity Leave Contract)

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation:

 

This role is responsible for ensuring our ORT and FRS store environments provide an outstanding experience for consumers, through training store teams on global visual merchandising standards and retail marketing execution in NSW and ACT stores.

 

Key Functional Responsibilities:

 

  • Conduct weekly visits to ORT and FRS stores within District NSW/ACT
  • Conduct virtual visits with remote ORT and FRS stores when in person visits aren’t possible, (e.g. Canberra)
  • Identify and communicate visual merchandising needs and best practices in conjunction with Store Managers and VM Champs.
  • Assist stores in implementing campaign briefs, while ensuring execution meets local and global standards.
  • Ensure that VM direction complements all retail marketing activity, regarding campaign execution and store staff training.
  • Provide day-to-day support for stores in meeting visual direction, brand standards, and key KPIs and sales targets, with a focus on the in-store VM Champs and Store Managers.  
  • Implement and assist store teams to consistently demonstrate the Global Visual Merchandising standards in all store concepts and formats within the Market.
  • Support the retail team (Ops, Merchandising, and Store Development) to ensure that every store’s condition is always of the highest standard.
  • In conjunction with the Specialist, Visual Merchandising; drive training initiatives to provide systematic direction and brand updates to the relevant store teams, Store Managers and VM Champs.
  • Update and help Store Managers and VM Champs to maintain Spaceman for all ORT stores in NSW and ACT
  • Provide feedback to the Specialist, Visual Merchandising on weekly store visits, including any training provided to stores as well as detailed before and after photos.
  • Work closely with the adidas NSW/ACT District Manager to ensure store teams are trained and compliant in Global VM Standards, to drive the success of adidas retail stores in meeting key KPIs and sales targets
  • Assist the adidas NSW/ACT District Manager and FRS District Manager in assessing and training stores in House of Retail/House of Franchise VM Standards
  • Play a lead role, in conjunction with the Specialist, Visual Merchandising to set up new ORT and FRS stores within NSW and ACT
  • Assist the Specialist, Visual Merchandising with special projects where required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

 

  • Fully qualified and/or experienced in retail Visual Merchandising, combining theoretical with practical experience.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Leading and managing a diverse team.
  • Good IT skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Fluency in English.
  • Good numeracy, literacy, verbal and written communication skills.

 

 

Requisite Education & Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Secondary education or equivalent professional experience
  • Two years dedicated visual merchandising experience
  • One year in a multi-site visual merchandising role
