Demand Planning Specialist

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:


Role is responsible for supporting the Demand Planning process for Israel. Specifically, the task of the Demand Planning Specialist is to lead, develop and guarantee the best possible performance of the Company in terms of data accuracy and volume planning. In addition, the Specialist must create the Integrated Business Plan (IBP) which provides volume, net sales and margin forecasting through the collaboration of multiple departments including Supply Chain, Sales, Finance and Marketing. The Specialist will also take a lead role in the coordination of the overall APO process, ensuring deadlines are met and forecasts are provided with clarity. The Demand Plan is the basis for Purchasing and significantly influences the inventory management/stock turn and overall financial health of the Company.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Support the DP Manager with data for Cluster IBP reviews and other validation meetings to drive bottom up planning in line with Emerging Market IBP monthly drumbeat and submit required data in the Global tool.
  • Consolidate opportunities and risks in IBP and to facilitate NS gap closing activities
  • Provides management team and functional teams with demand planning reports to support business decisions
  • Supports reporting standardization and enhancement
  • Ownership for Operational DP-APO module during seasonal procurement process
  • Monthly distribution of the rolling demand plan reflecting market demand
  • Ensure the accuracy of the Demand Planning Forecast Data and pre-order business
  • Support Manager DP in operational work and analysis

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills
  • Excellent SAP knowledge (APO & AFS)
  • High degree of commercial and business acumen (preferably)
  • Strong planning skills 
  • Ability to multi task in a dynamic environment
  • MS Office (Excel; PowerPoint)
  • Fluent in written and spoken English 
  • Preferable experience in the sport or clothing industry
  • Good interpersonal skills e.g. facilitation, team collaboration, and communication

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2-4 years of work experience in demand planning
