Director, Community Impact

Adidas is seeking an enthusiastic Community Impact Director for our growing Government Relationship team in GCA. The role predominantly focuses on establish, maintain and collaborate  with  country/regional/key municipal-level sport related authorities, organizations and communities which requires strong government operations/industry/cultural experience/insights and broad expertise to build and connect with policy makers, regulatory bodies, administrations, sport federations and associations. This role would help to advance adidas’ community-facing brand credibility and foster strategic and robust community partnerships and extensive engagement. Peers of this position are Senior leadership team, CSR, communication, sports marketing, brand marketing, strategic planning, legal, business teams and related global teams.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive coordinated community impact strategy and initiatives across the region, particularly through a sport dimension, to help elevate brand profile and serve the brand purpose: through Sport we have the power to change lives;
  • Engage with key community stakeholders, including policy makers, local authorities, program implementers, and other key influencers; and drive opportunities and priorities by communicating and structuring multi-stakeholder partnerships to achieve scaled impact;
  • Communicate adidas’s purpose efforts in driving impact for active, sustainable, inclusive, and empowered community by making adidas products, facilities and services accessible to key community partners;
  • Create community engagement programs and projects. Monitor and track progress for key strategic initiatives, and develop actionable recommendations;
  • Collaborate across functions to deliver integrated and aligned partnership, membership and CSR journey, and ensure alignment, coordination and advancement of the projects;
  • Develop annual Community Impact budget plan, and present this to Senior Management as required;
  • Act as a thought-leader and expert by strong understanding of domestic and international sport communities

 

 

 

 

Key Qualifications

  • Strong networks in domestic and international sport communities across public and private sectors, including international and national Olympic committees, international federations, national associations, state and local sport administrations;
  • Strong background in sport with insight of domestic policy environment and community landscape, and government operations;
  • Extensive experience in building and maintaining solid and constructive relationships with external organizations and partners, including government stakeholders and policy influencers;
  • Solid experience in corporate strategic planning and operations, stakeholder communication with ability to influence across businesses and manage multiple and competing priorities;
  • Strong program management skills and experience on complex, highly cross functional programs;
  • Passion for sport as a vehicle for inclusion, education, and empowerment;
  • Strong interest in sustainability and community impact work to make a difference for better;
  • An open and honest wworking style, with a desire to seek and apply learning;
  • Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal for English and Mandarin;
  • minimum 10 years of work experience in relevant areas;
