Director, Franchise Operations, APAC

The primary responsibility of the incumbent is to partner with Direct To Consumer (DTC) Retail teams across APAC Countries / Clusters  to develop strategic franchise retail operation Initiatives, ensuring Franchise Mono Branded Stores provide best in class mono branded consumer experience and delivering against Franchise Channel Targets. The incumbent will work with APAC Countries/Clusters and other markets Franchise Retail counterparts, to facilitate the implementation of Franchise Retail Operation best practices ,leading strategic franchise Retail Operation projects, innovation and improvement pilots, to drive a consistent experience and processes with Retail across the APAC Franchise Mono Branded Store Portfolio.


Key Responsibilities

  • Gate keeper for global and APAC Franchise Retail Operation Initiatives.
  • Partner with APAC Countries & Cluster Retail teams to develop strategic initiatives that provide best in class consumer experience in mono branded franchise stores and deliver against commercial targets 
  • Define with APAC country& cluster Direct To Consumer (DTC) / Franchise team’s performance tracking frameworks/ Benchmarks to track and drive continuous franchise store performance improvements (Concept Stores & Factory Outlets) while maintaining channel profitability 
  • Be the Subject matter expert “House of Franchise” operating Framework, facilitate practice sharing across APAC Countries & Cluster regarding scalable and effective Franchise partner led Retail Operation processes, Tools, Standards
  • Facilitate APAC Pilots / Initiatives enhancing digital consumer experience in Franchise stores, to provide a truly consistent Mono brand Store consumer experience within Countries (i.e. CRM) 
  • Facilitate or cocreate with APAC Countries/ Cluster functional counterparts’ adaptation of adidas retail processes and practices for Franchise Stores
  • Support APAC Countries with Frameworks to establish Franchise Business Pilots and share best practice for set up (i.e. Franchise business pilot, Brand Led Retail (BLR) set up)
  • Act as the conduit between APAC and other markets Franchise Retail operation Teams, regarding new developments/pilots, system, tools, processes, to identify opportunities for further enhancement to APAC Franchise Retail Operation.
  • Lead preparation and host Franchise functional meetings and sign off  


 Experience/Skill Sets

  • Retail Operationw and/or Franchise Retail Operation experience 
  • 3-5 years’ experience leading change/improvements, regarding Retail Operation for a Franchise Business model with retail/franchise/sales teams, across a country cluster or above market
  • Remote management experience 
  • Advanced Project Management Skills 
  • Strong leadership capabilities, able to motivate, influence and build long term relationship with peers, various stakeholder incl. Senior Leadership Team       
  • Critical & strategic thinking to identify enhancement areas in line with the business strategy and commercial plans
  • Strong business acumen, able to identify opportunities based on Data & analytics       
  • Solution focussed, able to lead development of implementation plans 
  • Pragmatic and agile with the capacity to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Excellent communication skills including impactful presentation skills, influencing, facilitation, negotiating and change management.
  • Advanced numeracy and literacy, with good IT skills (Word, Outlook, excel, PowerPoint).
  • Willingness to Travel (30%).
