Director, Human Resources (Sourcing South Asia cluster)

Purpose:

To lead and enable the HR teams in the cluster to deliver value and live the People and HR values of adidas at every touchpoint, by ensuring the implementation of the People Strategy for the respective function/business area, i.e. the Sourcing organizations in South Asia Liaison Office locations. Act as "Strategic HR Partner” to the business and our People.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

•Key business partner for senior business leaders in the cluster

•Trusted advisor on people priorities and topics to the Senior Leaders of the location, coaching and mentoring them to own and drive people topics, engagement and performance topics/decisions

•Lead, educate and inspire the HR teams in the locations in the cluster, ensuring they fully understand and deliver the Global HR priorities, support any local priorities that are not covered by the global priorities

•Communicate, drive and execute the People Strategy and priorities for the area of responsibility, focusing on areas of strategic importance

•Lead and drive complex organizational design, change and transformation programs, redesigning structures around strategic objectives

•Identify and build own and team’s skills and capabilities against strategic requirements and initiatives, leads strategic workforce planning processes

•Use data, analysis and dashboards to input and share priorities and focus areas

•Deliver a strong succession plan and build a talent pipeline to enable talent and succession for Senior Leadership positions within the area of responsibility.

•Develop Leadership Bench for the future

•Manage consistent execution of core HR processes in full compliance with adidas policy, legal and regulatory boundaries

•Respond effectively and efficiently to complaints, questions, needs from senior managers

•On a cluster level, drive and support on-site people activities /events to drive company vision and employee experience

•Highlight business priorities to Global HR, Rewards and Talent partners to ensure needs and requirements are embedded in new initiatives, programs and systems, and provides relevant geographical input when needed

•Ensure global HR reporting for respective functional area in close cooperation with strategic workforce planning, controlling and global partners

•Anticipates people trends/trend forecasting

•Maintain a high level of communication with senior leaders and contribute to the decision-making process of structuring and developing the team for the organization

• Support specific business needs with effective and globally aligned HR measures to promote positive employee relations in the work environment

Together with the business leaders, enter new locations and establish related people practices

Requisite Education and Experience:

•Master degree focusing on Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or related field 

•Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in a multinational company ideally with experience in HR Management, Rewards, Talent or business function

•International experience and mindset

•Fluent in English, ideally in other languages

•Proven strategic HR partner, who supported business partners and contributed to the further development of standard global HR tools and programs

•Experience in handling complicated employee relations issues (including union drives/organizing attempts, discrimination claims, sexual harassment investigations)

•Experience in leading an HR team across multiple locations on complex organizational initiatives (e.g. acquisition/divestiture, business transformation, setting up new locations)
