Director, Market Management

Purpose & Overall Relevance of CTC:

 

  • Build and execute strategies to enable successful sell-in/sell-out of product ranges and services according to the cross-category net sales and standard margin targets
  • Act as the link between BU creation teams, Brand Marketing, Sports Marketing and Category Marketing Teams in the markets
  • Support key brand strategies through cross-functional collaboration and execution

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Plan:

  • Manage 3-5 key markets & non key markets for a major category  
  • Consolidate CTC input for x-category executions and ensure it meets CTC requirements for all markets/channels. Collaborate with CTC Category Managers on the strategic global marketing plans and seasonal concepts.
  • Lead the range merchandising plan (range segmentation, etc) for x-category in collaboration with the CTC Merchandising team. Manage the development of category/sub brand seasonal CTC plans; identify category mis-alignments and ensure solutions are implemented

 

Launch:

  • Lead satisfactory delivery of impactful sell-in and sell-out tools to all markets/channels
  • Responsible for delivery of the required content/brand and strategic objectives on-time-in-full at key CTC milestones, e.g CTC Handover, GMM, SMM
  • Work with CTC Merchandising team to drive effective x-category ranging for global/market range components, ensuring x-category packages are coherent, range segmentation is consistent, and RRP structures make sense)
  • Develop and drive process improvements where necessary
     
    Land:
  • Guide designated markets/channels in building x-category business plans and landing key brand priorities (eg GFR)
  • Collaborate with and support key markets/channels with reaching financial targets and KPI's
  • Evaluate the key markets/ channels to ensure proper implementation of marketing strategies
  • Drive proper execution of x-category merchandising priorities in own Retail stores and online stores through collaboration with Retail Marketing/Global Retail Environments/e-commerce Marketing/Digital Marketing, and with support from CTC Merchandising
  • Use regular analysis and business relevant information to develop future CTC plans

 

Projects:

  • Lead strategic projects on a cross-functional and /or functional-/category- specific level.
  • Participate in Brand projects.

 

Managerial Tasks and Budget Management:

 

  • Staff most suitable persons in direct report positions in alignment with HR
  • Set personal objectives, targets, guidelines and assess all direct reports
  • Steer PEP-form & online-process for all direct reports with administrative responsibility
  • Develop the functional and social skills of direct reports on and off the job
  • Manage all reports as an integrated team by setting team objectives, targets and guidelines to ensure smooth cooperation of all direct reports along interfaces
  • Identify and prepare talents in CTC team for career progression within the adidas organization
  • Budget management as assigned
  • Project budget management

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • University degree or equivalent education required
  • 10 years of relevant work experience
  • Minimum 3 years managerial experience
  • 3 years working with key markets or 1 year working in a top tier adidas market
