Director 3D Digital Operations Digital Creation E2E

PURPOSE & OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANISATION

 

Digital Creation E2E is a strategic board program under the digital umbrella building the must-have adidas creation infrastructure of the future. Focus is to digitize the end-to-end creation-to-shelf value chain, covering marketing, creation, sourcing (supplier integration) and sell-in.

It is an integral part of adidas strategy “Own the Game”.

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

This is a key in-house position for an organized, passionate and goal-oriented future leader who is able to serve as a facilitator between design direction and Digital Creation E2E.

 

  • Drive implementation of DC E2E creative processes and tools within Design across FTW, App and A & G, ensuring sustainability to deliver all DC E2E targets.
  • Ensure Design teams across all divisions are upskilled & trained to secure DC E2E ramp up plans.
  • Act as a Digital Creator E2E ambassador within Design communities across divisions in terms of alignment and priority setting with Design ambitions
  • Manage the 3D design operations team providing operational support across ramp-up BUs.
  • Support the definition and implementation of Digital Asset quality standards aligned with DC E2E, Business teams (incl. ACT, Development, Sourcing, Sales) – ensuring Designers achieve required standards of partner’s creation.
  • Lead the process to upskill and on-board design teams across all divisions, enabling DC E2E targets to be achieved.
  • Align with DC E2E HQ MVPs teams in terms process updates, training needs for designers.
  • Link to Design Technology Team (HQ) in terms of new technologies, tool testing & training needs. Ensuring all new technologies/tools/solutions have design user tests conducted prior to implementation.
  • Manage creation of training material to upskill and train designers on new technologies. Ensuring training materials are available as required timelines, the quality is signed-off to ensure 3D assets produced by design are compliant with partner quality standards.
  • Own the feedback process on technology gaps ensuring the Design Technology team and Director Digital Architect are briefed and user stories are written to support future business needs.
  • Define team is structured in a way to enable full support for design across the business, including all BU’s and locations for successful implementation of DC E2E ramp up.
  • Manage the Design Operations team so it buffers the creative workload peaks to enable sustainable Digital Creation upskilling of designers. Allow for support of partner’s operations team during peak phases where needed.
  • Ensure razor sharp focus of Design Operations Team along DC E2E priorities in close alignment with Sen. Director DC E2E
  • Support the definition and implementation of Digital Asset quality standards aligned with DC E2E, Business teams (incl. ACT, Development, Sourcing, Sales) – ensuring Designers achieve required standards of partners creation.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities within DC E2E process whilst training and supporting the designers. Ensure these opportunities are fed back into the business for future development.
  • Input to the priority decision making for tools / process development within the design environment, in alignment with Senior DC E2E management team, IT and MVP leads.

REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Between 6 - 8 years of relevant work experience in digital transformation environment (e.g.  top tier consulting, project management, apparel/fashion, IT domain);
  • Within which 2-3 years proven track record of experience in digital transformation focusing on 3D Design and Digital Creation E2E within Apparel and Footwear industries
  • Advanced leadership and management training, direct team management
  • University degree

This is a key in-house strategy position for an organized, passionate and goal-oriented future leader who understands what digital transformation projects have in common, and their strategic role in how organizations succeed, learn and change.

 

  • Shape Digital Creation End-2-End (DC E2E) strategy and transformation program holistically across Brand, GOPS and Global Sales functions
  • Support vision creation and roadmap for global implementation of solutions and tools and set strategic direction for roll-out of capabilities across brands
  • Represent the brand of DC E2E Program to Global Operations community and beyond
  • Support strategy development process and project portfolio prioritization within the DC E2E landscape to achieve the benefits of Digital Creation.
  • Own and manage a digital transformation project that drives change across functions and business units
  • Lead communication to sponsors and senior management through effective story telling
  • Create transparency on projects across DC E2E and align on the priorities, to ensure resources are deployed to provide on time, high quality and consistency of deliverables and interdependencies are identified.
  • Drive the larger organization by influencing functional experts, product owners and involving key stakeholders.
  • Independently accelerate and challenge DC E2E projects to ensure the DC E2E ramp up plan is achieved.
  • Share strategic direction to MVP leads / teams to ensure transparency and alignment
  • Take part in coordination and knowledge exchange with other directors of the digital transformation hub in Shanghai and HQ

  • Between 5-7 years of relevant work experience in digital transformation environment (e.g.  top tier consulting, project management, apparel/fashion, supply chain management)
  • Within which 2-3 years proven track record of project management experience; direct team management a plus
  • University degree
