Director BU Planning & Business Project Apparel


  • Develop, direct and implement global supply planning & costing strategies in line with corporate objectives for the respective Business Units.
  • Be the Planning & Costing partner of choice, responsible for translating Brand ambitions into tactical requirements.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Collaborate and align effectively with BU Planning community, globally, to ensure broad adoption of policies, procedures, and timelines across locations
  • Ensure CCA BU strategies are reflected accurately in Sourcing’s seasonal allocation strategy, follow through on correct execution by the BUs/ Development teams to optimize capacity/ capability utilization and support maximum availability performance once production starts
  • Drive creation zone IBP drumbeat for CCA, own the number to support capability & capacity building for supply base for BUs represented on site, identify volume gaps and potential risks in supply with the ultimate goal of ensuring demand plans of the markets can be satisfied in the sell & produce zone
  • Lead a team of vertical BU Planners at CCA. Provide training, coaching, professional growth and career planning for the team



  • Drive and communicate global Costing objectives throughout the CCA x-functional team, ensuring common targets/KPI are in place.
  • Act as the liaison to business partners with BU Development leads, Brand Finance, Business Analysts, and sourcing costing for inquiry related to product costing framework, approach, and principles.
  • Support CCA creation teams to optimize product costing for apparel products by leveraging the costing frameworks/approach, and support the systematic use of pre-costing. Ensure alignment between Marketing, Design, Development and LOs relative to cost target setting and adjustment.
  • Actively contribute to Go-In-Margin maximization, through key levers such as create-to-value engineering, material efficiency optimization and any other profitability related initiatives with the aim to deliver product value to the consumer while improving company profitability.
  • Lead a team of vertical BU Costing at CCA. Provide training, coaching, professional growth and career planning for the team.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • At least 3 years leadership experience
  • Strong team player with proven ability to work cross functionally to achieve goals and objectives
  • Ability to be self-directed under tight timelines
  • Business/consumer/customer oriented in decision making
  • Outstanding communication skills and personal presence, with proven ability to interact, influence and convince at senior management level
  • Fluent in English


Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Undergraduate university degree or equivalent in Textile industry or in the areas of business administration, logistics, planning, information systems from an accredited college or university
  • Undergraduate university degree and 10 years+ of relevant business experience
  • Technical training in apparel engineering and product development/costing/planning or production
