Director Business Planning, Kids

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

  • To manage the FRS & WHS business planning processes and support VP/GM to monitor the omni-channel business planning, providing the best support to channels team in achieving business goals
  • To monitor and response to inventory balance to maximize sell-thru
  • To be responsible for setting up sales target, rolling forecast and sales achievement as well as the related rebate/subsidy planning and allocation
  • To be responsible for Franchise marketplace expansion planning & strategy and monitor the progress on a weekly basis
  • To work with Franchise team to manage trade terms and account / customer support scheme in conjunction with VP/GM
  • To give input to range-building based on sales and product analysis in collaboration with brand teams
  • To have an omni-channel, holistic POV & analysis on Kids business and collect relevant business data & insights from both OR & E-com teams
    Key Responsibilities:
    Planning and Strategy
  • Develop the short-term and long-term business plan with VP/GM and respective channels Head
  • Develop annual business plan by consolidating all channels development plan, including POS expansion plan, POS productivity improvement, and omni-channel inventory management etc.
  • Work with VP/GM on the SBP planning process
  • Work with VP/GM, Franchise team and Finance team to formulate trade term under overall category strategy
  • Participate in the alignment among brand team on defining category target to ensure category strategy implementation
  • Range planning support and analysis (FC, efficiency, S-T, etc…). Drive FC accuracy improvement and range efficiency.
  • Align with CCA on key creation processes and GCA impact.
  • Collaborate with Global and other Market colleagues to share best practices and improve processes
  • Monitor ingoing inventory balance into retail and monthly(weekly) tracking, reading, reacting of status and based on this work with replenishment / buffer buy call-off
  • Work with BPO on the customer ranking evaluation, discount matrix maintenance, customer opening, upgrading, closure and contract renewing process
  • Project management – lead multiple projects as required by VP/GM.


Reporting and Analysis

  • Develop monthly sales rolling forecast for the top line sales number, standard margins, and inventory status across channels and accounts
  • Regular reporting on pricing, margin and other key metrics.
  • Regular reporting on franchise expansion (opening/closure/upgrade/enlargement) progress
  • Influence category ranging decisions with product intelligence and data.
  • Buy plan support and analysis.

Systems and Processes

  • Develop and manage key business processes, including business forecasting, future order consolidation and analysis, inventory management, monthly reporting and sales tracking, account ranking review etc.
  • Own sell in database and reporting process
  • Maintain key processes related to range planning, product delays and buy planning.
  • Identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement of key processes, tools, standards and guidelines


People Management

  • To lead team and foster performance culture within his/her team
  • To develop, train and retain key talents
  • To manage all reports as an integrated team by setting team objectives, targets and guidelines
  • To ensure smooth cooperation of all direct reports along all interfaces


  • Be responsible for overall Neo sales target achievement
  • Well control Opex and T&E budget within the team
  • Ensure the accuracy of all financial information required by company
  • Work with Finance team for budget and RFC planning.
  • Align with Finance on margin calculations and reporting.

  • Project/Process management skills
  • Strong decision taking and determination and shows high initiative and pragmatism to the business.
    Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
  • University degree in business with marketing and sales focus
  • Strong quantitative skills – forecasting / budgeting / pricing
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in planning or operations department, with over 5 years’ experience of people and operational management
  • Experience in planning and managing large budgets across channels while achieving high volume growth targets
  • MNC background and sensitive in cross-culture environment
  • IT skills: Advanced MS Office Skills
