Director Corporate & Internal Communication - Digital Channels (m/f/d)

Purpose:

 

Corporate Communication helps adidas to create distinctive and appealing images with its stakeholder groups, build a strong, trusted corporate brand ("the company behind the brands") and develop reputational capital. The Digital Team positively enhances the company’s reputation with data-driven impactful distribution and activation of inspiring content via state of the art digital channels.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead and manage a global team of Digitaland Social Media experts
  • Lead and drive flexibly assembled project groups for key strategic communication initiatives and topics
  • Act as a sparring partner and thought leader for Corporate Communication SMT and key stakeholders of other global departments reg. Digital
  • Ensure high engagement of the Digital Team
  • Manage Corporate digital platforms budget as part of larger department budget
  • Significantly contribute to the achievement of the department strategy
  • Ensure smooth operation of the business by taking on ownership for related actions.

 

Internal and external digital global channel framework for adidas Corporate globally:

 

  • Develop internal and external corporate digital channel framework for company globally
  • Drive the evolution of a-LIVE, www.adidas-group.com, www.Gameplan-a.com, and all associated global social media channels, e.g. LinkedIn adidas, , Twitter…in order to provide modern, engaging and effective internal and external digital platforms for the company globally
  • Drive the operation and governance of these platforms
  • Drive consulting of Corporate Communication team members and key stakeholders to come up with engaging digital solutions for key topics.
  • Drive the relationship with internal IT counterparts as well as external vendors to ensure high quality implementation of solutions
  • Align platform strategy with key global stakeholders, e.g. Investor Relations, Legal, HR, brand digital team…
  • Proactively monitor trends and developments in this area and provide advice on how to evolve the internal and external global digital communications and social collaboration channels of corporate communication and the company.

 

Content Strategy and –marketing:

 

  • Develop and steer the department’s global Content Strategy in collaboration with External Corporate Communication, Editorial&Planning and Content Creation team.
  • Develop and manage the department’s global Content Marketing Strategy (paid and organic)
  • Drive and manage content lifecycle/repurposing strategy
  • Drive global social media strategy for owned corporate channels in alignment with External Communication team
  • Act as role-model and ambassador for social media usage in the company
  • Ensure cross-functional communication, alignment and collaboration for assigned responsibility within Corporate Communication team and key global stakeholders , e.g. HR, IT, brand digital team
  • Act as a business partner, subject matter expert, consultant and trainer for content strategy and –marketing at adidas globally

 

Analytics:

 

  • Drive global internal and external analytics framework of Corporate Communication
  • Direct analytic resources to develop actionable recommendations and tracking to enable the optimization of global internal and external communication framework.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • University degree (or equivalent) in business studies, marketing, communications or business computing
  • System expertise: Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft SharePoint, O365, Django, Cloud, Intranet Content Management Systems, Google Analytics and other data analysis tools, knowledge and understanding of functionality and inner workings of social media Tools such as Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr, WordPress and others
  • 8-12 years’ experience in related fields
  • Deep business understanding of Enterprise 2.0, modern web publishing, social media and community management
  • Strong analytical & continuous improvement mindset
  • Ability to maneuver in a consistently changing environment
  • Ability to operate cross-functionally and understanding of internal and external business drivers
  • Understanding of the complexity, interactions and dynamics within an international company
  • Very good communication expertise both written and verbal (quality, consistency and accuracy)
  • Business fluency in English (written and spoken), German is a plus.
  • Experience in Project Management and Analysis
