Director Digital Excellence

General Purpose

As Director Digital Excellence at China Digital Hub you have one objective – the success of CDH digital products. You would have a twofold accountability. Firstly, ensuring that all CDH Digital Products land emphatically with clearly articulated business facing benefits with the China Business including clearly documented operations guidelines. Secondly you would be responsible for conceptualizing and articulating product usage ideas joining the dots across multiple product areas. You are expected to understand product and closely engage with product owners to be across new features, extensions and optimizations. You are to partner with Local China market, CDH Product Teams and Global Product teams to ensure new released functionalities & best practices work hand in hand.



Key Responsibilities 

Digital Excellence

  • Accountability for the success of all CDH Digital Products
  • Conceptualizing and articulating product implementation ideas that joins the dots across multiple product areas
  • Ability to frame business problems and articulate how digital products solve the same across multiple platforms
  • Accountable for understanding various functional perspectives and articulating solutions that cut across
  • Landing new features and development with the business with clear documentation and training
  • Representing Digital Hub in operations/implementation discussion for fostering strong relationships with China key stakeholders to ensure that their views and requirements are captured
  • Accountable for end to end operations including hype across native APP’s and WeChat
  • Accountable for successful implementation of Social/Data Crawling products that informs the entire organization
  • Influence and drive the digital way of working across the organization as we continue to pivot further towards digital
  • Inform the product owners on product backlogs linked to operations
  • Be across ongoing and planned sprints
    Digital Execution
  • Be accountable for monitoring of the configuration, features and functionalities related to the product
  • Ensure that objective data sources and feedback are used for the optimization of the product
  • Own Hype Operations horizontally across WeChat and APP’s

Education & Experience

  • Degree with focus on Business Administration, Communication or IT or related areas, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 8+ years of experience working in a Digital Strategy/eCommerce/Product Strategy
  • Experience in working with stakeholders and experts at various organizational levels
  • Experience in creating strong internal business cases to support investment and internal resource requests
  • Experience as a Product Owner or product project experience would be a plus
  • Excellent communication skills and comfortable presenting to stakeholders at various organizational levels both in person and remotely
  • High resilience and solution-oriented attitude
  • Detail Oriented is a must
  • Comfortable crafting narrative and building business cases
  • Exposure/Experience in Digital Operations
  • Expert knowledge on operating WeChat platform mini programs & native mobile apps
  • Familiarity with A/B testing or other multivariate testing
  • Comfortable working with enterprise-level platforms and technologies
  • Understanding of IT products and capabilities
  • Fluent in English both verbally and written
