Director Global SCM DTC Performance Management (m/f/d)

 

Purpose

 

Direct to Consumer business will represent the majority of adidas revenues by 2025 and it is a yearly double-digit growth which is expected for it in the next 6 years. Beyond sales, the impact we can create on every consumer thanks to Retail, eCom, Omni and Partner Programs is massive and unique.

 

The Director Performance Management is a key role within Global Supply Chain DTC, responsible for identifying global standards regarding SCM DTC performance management, monitoring this performance across markets and recommending improvement action plans.

 

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Create transparency across market regarding existing key performance indicators for SCM DTC and define the to-be set of indicators.
  • Build the new indicators in collaboration with the relevant functions (IT, Finance, SCM) and ensure they are acknowledged by both users and senior management.
  • Continuously monitor and assess the current Supply Chain DTC capability set-up towards customer satisfaction, identify and analyse gaps with current market capabilities and provide recommendations
  • Continuously monitor and assess the current Supply Chain DTC performance towards targets, identify and analyse gaps and collaborate with markets to support them closing these gaps based on global standards or best practises
  • Create business cases to assess new market activities or decisions regarding SCM DTC.
  • Build prospective models to project future role and contribution of SCM DTC in global company business
  • Partner with the markets to lead the establishment of a fact-based culture in the organization by promoting and defining data driven decision processes
  • Act as the cost guarantor for global SCM DTC, influencing market SCM DTC heads to ensure healthy balance between service oriented decisions and cost optimisation.
     

Knowledge, Capabilities and Experience
 

  • Solid finance background, ideally with supply chain experience.
  • Proven successful tool kit and process for best in class performance measurement-procedures, metrics, tracking and reporting 
  • Full end-to-end understanding of Supply Chain business processes and best practices
  • Proven deep expertise and understanding of complex business interactions in several functions related to DTC (e.g., SCM, eCom, Retail, Omni…), and ability to plan and deliver presentations to technical and non-technical audiences as well as senior leadership
  • Proven experience and able to interact and navigate with all levels of seniority in various markets and functions
  • Excellent presentation/communication, negotiation and influencing skills, especially with senior stakeholders
  • Self-initiated and pro-active mindset
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • A passion for delivering data-based recommendations for quantifiable improvements in business results and consumer satisfaction

 

Qualifications

 

  1. Business or comparable degree, MBA is a plus
  2. Over 8+ years of relevant work experience in omnichannel related functions, with
    • proven professional experience in finance and/or supply chain
    • proven cross functional project management record
    • senior management exposure
    • 6-Sigma or PMI certification is a plus
    • experience in agile methodology is a plus
  3. Prior work in business functions (i.e. Sales, Retail, eCom) is a plus
