Director Retail Operations APAC

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

The primary responsibility of the incumbent is to partner with Retail teams across APAC Countries & Cluster to develop strategic Retail Operation initiatives, ensuring consistent consumer experience and delivering against Retail Business Targets.
The incumbent will work with Global counterparts, APAC Countries & Cluster Retail Teams to identify and facilitate the implementation of best practices by leading Business Initiatives, strategic Projects, Innovation and improvement Pilots, to achieve retail operational excellence ,with effective business Process and operating Standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gate keeper for global and APAC Retail Operation Initiatives
  • Partner with global, APAC Countries & Cluster Retail operation Teams to develop and implement annual strategic Initiatives delivering best in class retail experience and contributing to the achievement of Retail Targets
  • Lead a culture of sharing and adopting best practice across APAC Countries & Cluster regarding Retail operation Processes, Tools, Standards
  • Define with APAC Retail Operation team’s performance tracking frameworks/ Benchmarks to drive continuous Store performance improvements (Concept Stores & Factory Outlets)
  • Lead Retail operation Initiatives enhancing Store portfolio productivity (incl. Concept Stores & Factory Outlets) based on regular APAC Portfolio analyses with X-functional APAC retail Teams
  • Facilitate execution of APAC Initiatives improving consumer experience incl. consumer facing instore Omnichannel tools
  • Be the Subject matter expert “House of Retail” operating Framework, facilitate implementation practice sharing across APAC
  • Act as the conduit between APAC and global Retail Store operation team regarding new developments / requirements Retail System, Tools, Processes, ensuring APAC opportunities & needs are supported by the global retail operation team.
  • Lead the preparation and host Retail operation functional meetings

Experience, Skillsets:

  • Solid Retail operation experience mins. 10 years
  • Additionally, 3-5 years’ experience leading change/improvements with retail teams across Countries/Markets
  • Remote management experience
  • Advanced Project Management Skills
  • Strong leadership capabilities, able to motivate, influence and build long term relationship with peers, various stakeholder incl. SLT       
  • Critical & strategic thinking to identify enhancement areas in line with the business strategy and commercial plans
  • Strong business acumen, able to identify opportunities based on Data & analytics      
  • Solution focussed, able to lead development of implementation plans
  • Pragmatic and agile with the capacity to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Excellent communication skills including impactful presentation skills, influencing, facilitation, negotiating and change management.
  • Advanced numeracy and literacy, with good IT skills (Word, Outlook, excel, PowerPoint)
  • Willingness to Travel (30%)
