  1. General Purpose

As an Assistant 3D Generalist within our Digital Operations & Production team, you will participate in the development of high-quality 3D visualizations, motion content, and assets optimized for real-time rendering engines. These assets will support a variety of sales and marketing initiatives that are key to our Digital Strategy. Your role will involve close collaboration with internal teams, project stakeholders, and external 3D specialists, ensuring the smooth execution of tasks and the successful completion of projects.

 

 

  1. Key Responsibilities

3D Asset Creation Pipelines:

    • 3D Asset Creation: Contribute to the development of 3D digital assets, including environment props, apparel, and footwear, using designated DCC (Digital Content Creation) applications based on provided briefs.
    • Data Refinement: Refine and optimize both 2D and 3D data for visualization within DCC applications and design tools.
    • 3D Renders and Animation: Support the production of 3D renders, animations, and assets optimized for real-time rendering engines, ensuring alignment with the digital strategy and project-specific creative guidelines.
    • Pipeline Testing and Feedback: Participate in the testing of new pipelines and automated processes, providing consolidated feedback to enhance implementation.
    • Process Documentation: Assist in documenting procedures related to automated product visualization processes to ensure consistency and efficiency.
    • Quality Monitoring: Monitor data quality throughout the 3D asset creation process and contribute to continuous process improvement efforts.
    • Process Enhancement: Assist in the ongoing improvement of products, processes, and systems within the project scope, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of project outcomes.

Communication:

    • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a primary contact for both global and local stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and coordination across teams.
    • Change Management Support: Assist in the execution of change initiatives, ensuring smooth implementation and sustainable outcomes that deliver lasting benefits.
    • 3D Standards Testing: Participate in testing activities across all concept phases, focusing on 3D standards that align with the Digital Strategy.
    • Collaboration with Creative Directors: Work closely with Creative Directors to ensure that all visual and artistic requirements are met in accordance with project specifications.

  • Project Teams: Engage and collaborate with task force project teams to ensure alignment and successful project execution.
  • Global and Local Project Stakeholders: Work with global and local stakeholders to maintain effective communication and address project needs.
  • Digital Teams: Collaborate with all teams within the digital department to support the seamless integration of digital assets and processes.
  • Relevant Corporate Functions: Coordinate with various corporate functions such as Digital Creation, Sourcing, Design, Brand Marketing, and Wholesale/Retail to ensure project alignment and the achievement of strategic objectives.
  • HR Administration: Work with HR Administration as needed to support project-related staffing and administrative requirements.

  1. Education & Experience
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Design, 3D, Graphic Design, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2+ years of in-depth experience in the 3D field, demonstrating a strong understanding of 3D creation processes.
  • Industry Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of 3D creation processes and familiarity with industry standards in 3D production.

  1. Hard-Skills
  • Strong artistic vision with a deep understanding of light setups and shading in 3D environments.
  • A portfolio demonstrating prior experience in 3D work.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with at least one major 3D DCC application, with priority given to Blender, Cinema4D, Houdini, Maya, or 3DS Max (sorted by highest to lowest priority).
  • Experience with Houdini, particularly in procedural asset creation and various simulations, is a plus.
  • Knowledge of CAD/Rhinoceros 3D, especially in CAD adjustments and retopology workflows, is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Adobe 2D Graphics applications, including Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Experience with Adobe Substance products, particularly Substance Painter; knowledge of Substance Designer is a plus.
  • Unreal Engine experience is a plus.
  • General IT knowledge and experience with Shell/CMD.
  • Python programming experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of C++, Unreal Engine Blueprints, Three.JS, and WebGL is a big advantage.
  • Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing, to effectively communicate with stakeholders.
