Apparel Designer - Graphics - Licensed Clubs - BU Football

With an emphasis on graphic design - channel the roar of the supporters, capture the eye of fashion, and create the best for the athlete.

Informed by our rich history of football excellence, with a focus on the future, we aim to bring to life designs never seen before on-pitch.

 

PURPOSE & OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANISATION

To design the future of sport through market-right products for the world’s biggest clubs as part of an international apparel design team, in cooperation with marketing and development for BU Football.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create groundbreaking graphics that bring to life our apparel vision for the season.
  • Collaborate with Design colleagues to create 'the new'.
  • Define the balance between sport, fashion and culture through creative design solutions.
  • Implement the creative vision into consumer-relevant product ranges.
  • Self-manage own creative process and execute towards given directions.
  • Execute design work according to the visual language of adidas, as well as given Corporate Identity guidelines according to legal guidance.
  • Verbally present product ideas and details with clarity.
  • Ensure efficient process and communication flow between design, marketing and development for all issues regarding the designed ranges and products.
  • Ensure proper handover of tech packs into development.
  • Visualize your designs using 3D tools.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

 

  • Strong Graphic Design skills (Illustrator, Photoshop, Procreate, Clo3D, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of fashion design/industrial product or industrial design.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of product development, material and trims for assigned product range along with techpack experience.
  • High level of creativity.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
  • 3D Programs would be a plus (Blender, Cinema 4D, etc.)

 

 

REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Bachelor degree (B.A.) from a college or university, major Design or industrial product enginering or equivalent experience in graphic/apparel design
  • 3 years of practical experience in design environment (Footwear/ Apparel/ Accessories - or industrial design, fashion design or similar design related areas)
