Manager Merchandising Factory Outlet (m/f/d) Temp until Dec 2024 - Global Retail

PURPOSE

 This role will be responsible for building and driving commercial strategies and potentializing the Factory Outlet business targets with a Global perspective. Responsibilities include developing and implementing merchandising best practice as well as selecting a commercial global Factory Outlet foundation range partnering with Markets and Business Units. This Team will have accountability on all concepts sold across the outlet business, which follows Brand direction.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Manage the key strategic priorities in line with company and Global retail merchandising framework
  • Actively participate in shaping the global merchandising strategy for Factory Outlets, including planned production strategy and support implementation of the same working with the markets
  • Prepare and implement all elements of a Global Factory Outlet Range from definition of products requirements (globally common) to product selection, SMU requirements, brief to Global Business Units teams and drive supply chain programmes to support such.
  • Collate quantitative and qualitative feedback from markets, drive Range Architecture for the Global Factory Outlet Range
  • Coordinate global buys of GFO Range
  • Review Factory Stores performance ensuring brand direction and commercial success for planning GFO range 
  • Define Hero products and contribute on defining and driving commercial moments in collaboration with activation team and other x-functions 
  • Collate regular feedback from markets on competitor activity and prepare comprehensive report to the Directory of Merchandising
  • Ensure collation of a comprehensive report on pricing and competitor trends and publish the same
  • Work with markets to implement focus on key merchandising principles based on framework provided
  • Contribute to the design of and implement a set of key merchandising reports that help evaluate the business goals and ensure this is rolled out within the departments
  • Drive the implementation of space management tool in the markets and stores and prepare detailed analysis on findings and actions
  • Develop a global best and worst sellers report and be responsible for publishing the same
  • Manage processes to utilise supply chain capabilities for planned production for Factory Outlets.
  • Implement and manage the targets set by the business
  • Contribute to the development of a merchandising training program
  • Support the development of a Global FO Range
  • Support store visits as needed and advised by the business
  • Support overall team projects and administrative tasks

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Advanced skills in MS Office
  • Fluent in English
  • Additional language is an advantage
  • Good understanding of Retail Management systems
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Structured, organised and process orientated
  • Attention to detail as error in analysis will have crucial impact to business
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment and under pressure

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • University degree in business, ideally with marketing and sales focus or equivalent professional experience
  • 4+ years Merchandising Experience
