Product Manager, FTW Women, BU Originals (m/f/d)

Purpose & Overall Relevance to the Organization:

 

Leverage your expertise in the streetwear and sneaker industry to shape and influence product concepts, ensuring they align with latest trends and resonate with the female target audience. Actively curate commercially successful collections that reflect the cultural Zeitgeist of streetwear, whilst staying ahead of industry dynamics.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Define and guide the strategic direction of the product range, ensuring it aligns with both brand image and commercial ambitions.
  • Develop and articulate a clear strategy for evolving the Footwear range and developing an industry-leading product offer, incorporating industry insights and consumer expectations from the streetwear scene/sneaker market.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the product creation process, ensuring all tasks are completed within given timeframes, with special attention to speed to market.
  • Actively analyse business performance and propose actionable steps to identify business opportunities and improve product offerings.
  • Establish yourself as a recognized range expert among markets and retailers, ensuring products are landed with impact and success.
  • Prepare and present product ranges and business-related topics with clear, relevant structure and content tailored to the audience.
  • Lead projects independently, following up on development progress until successful launch.
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of product information systems.

 

 

Key Relationships:

 

  • Work closely with design, development, costing teams, and other cross-functional partners to facilitate an efficient product creation process.
  • Develop relationships with key markets and relevant retailers, ensuring that product offerings are well-positioned and successful in the marketplace.

 

 

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

 

  • In-depth knowledge of streetwear and sneaker industries, including trends, consumer behavior, and market dynamics.
  • Highly passionate about sneakers, streetwear, lifestyle and sports.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent time management, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

 

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • College degree, preferably in marketing/business /textile/fashion
  • Minimum of 2-3 years Product Marketing experience within the Streetwear Industry, preferrable with Footwear background  
  • Experience in trade, vertical retail business model or sales is helpful
  • Fluent in English
  • PC skills (MS Office programs, especially PowerPoint and Excel)
