Senior Manager Business Insights Digital Partner Commerce(m/f/d)

I. General Purpose 

Digital is a big opportunity we foresee towards 2025, with digital wholesale (online sales through our Partners digital touchpoints e.g. websites and apps) being a key contributor to this growth. 

As a Senior Manager Business Insights (DPC, Digital Partner Commerce) at adidas you are responsible for identifying opportunities and working with Digital Sales Solution (DSS) to ensure cutting-edge analytics services to stakeholders, enabling them to make fact-based decisions. Based on multiple data sources (external, internal) you manage the generation of insights that help adidas better understand the consumer, expand reach, increase customer engagement and ultimately drive sales. In collaboration with your team, you inform the markets and broader wholesale community, where the big opportunities are. 

  

  

II. Key Responsibilities  

  

1. Analytics 

• Business owner of global wholesale analytics solutions and tools in collaboration with the Digital Sales Solutions team 

• Identify opportunities for actionable insights and analytics tools/ products. Oversee the collection, tracking, mining and analysis of data and the generation of fact-based insights using multiple data sources with Digital sales solutions team and IT teams 

• Provide analytics services to stakeholders within Markets and the DPC leadership team 

• Lead assigned initiatives and work on rolling them out to the markets, highlighting insights, and the impact these create, promote adoption of the tools in markets. 

  

2. Consulting 

• Support stakeholders in your area of responsibility in the use of digital analytics to define goals, select appropriate KPIs, monitor performance and derive trends and opportunities. 

• Provide stakeholders with actionable recommendations and calls for action based on your gathered insights. Translate gathered insights into engaging, actionable, and easy to digest insights presentations. 

• Maintain a strong stakeholder network with high level of trust that facilitates action-ability of insights. 

• Drive the implementation and use of data driven decision processes, in line with a fact-based decision culture. 

  

3. Reporting 

• Co-define and implement new reporting structures or refine existing structures within your area of responsibility. 

• Provide best practice guidance to markets and other adidas stakeholders to maximize the use of analytics capabilities. 

  

4.   Innovation 

• Build a strong internal and external network, informing the adidas Digital Analytics community on the latest trends and technological advances. 

• Exhibit creativity and practical problem solving to develop tools and improve processes by reducing manual inputs, increasing automation levels and removing bottlenecks. 

 

5. Project management & vendor management  

• Manage relationship with vendors offering analytical solutions to adidas. Define scope of work, take responsibility for budgeting on the global level. Monitor budget utilization through the year. Evaluate existing and prospect new vendors to ensure the optimal quality and efficiency of service for adidas. 

 

6. Horizontal leadership 

• Influence multiple stakeholders across different teams, departments, and geographical markets in adidas to promote the DPC fact-based decision-making agenda. 

• Lead horizontal project teams by providing purpose, guidance, and motivation. Ensure effective collaboration.

IV. Requirements 

 

1. Education & Professional Experience 

• University degree in the field of Business or Quantitative subjects (such as Mathematics/ Econometrics etc.) 

• 6+ years of experience in Digital Analytics/Insights 

• Experience in eCommerce environment 

• Experience in leading a team is a plus 

  

2. Soft-Skills 

• A passion for delivering data-based recommendations for quantifiable improvements in business results and consumer satisfaction. 

• Very good communication skills, comfortable presenting complex topics to stakeholders at various organizational levels both in person and remotely 

• Very good presentation skills and story-telling 

• People management skills esp. organizing and leading project teams across different organizations and reporting lines 

• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and the broader adidas network 

  

3. Hard-Skills 

• Extensive experience with analytics tools and disciplines (web, eCom related, social, mobile, sentiment, SEO, paid media etc.). 

• Extensive experience with visualization techniques (ex. Power BI) and SQL  

• Very good project management skills, including the ability to lead projects or work on several projects simultaneously 

• Proficient in MS Office 

• Fluent English both verbally and written
