Director, Quality Continuous Improvement

Purpose:
A key player in Sourcing in driving Sourcing’s vision to be the Most Agile, Most Competitive, Most Digitalized & Cleanest Supply Base in the industry. Manage the transformation towards Digital Quality to enable advanced capabilities across the supply base worldwide. Develop and continuously improve best in class, advanced system solutions and related processes to enable the transition towards Digitalization. Own global adidas Quality framework (Q-KPI), manage performance targets and objectives across divisions.


Key Responsibilities:
• Establish one aligned adidas quality vision and direction across divisions, in close collaboration with regional Quality leads.
• Lead all Quality continuous improvement activities.
• Lead and manage the transformation towards Digital Quality. Establish advanced system solutions and related processes to enable the transition towards Digitalization.
• Manage and evolve adidas Quality KPI framework applied at the global supply base.
• Manage quality performance targets and objectives across divisions. Ensure targets and objectives are set and accomplished.
• Provide clear guidance to regional quality teams, LOs and suppliers during pilot, validation, and scaling phases to ensure a successful implementation of new systems, modules, and quality process enhancements.
• Initiate and lead quality related projects at a global scale.
• Gather insights on best-in-class Quality system and process innovations within our supply chain, within and outside our Industry, run feasibility studies and identify potential applications for adidas.
• Manage a lean and effective organization. Ensure adequate guidance, training and development is in place to meet the needs of the organization.
• Work cross-divisionally and cross-functionally with respective counterparts. Build and maintain strong relationship with internal and external stakeholders and business partners.
• Role model leadership to foster a culture of Diversity Equity & Inclusion that strives for an inclusive workplace.
• Develop and coach team to ensure the best standards of performance, appropriate skillsets and strong succession plans are in place.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Have a wide experience of quality management concepts in manufacturing of consumer goods.
• Strong conceptual thinking
• Strong influencing and communication skills
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Strong Microsoft Office Skills
• Strong leadership skills and ability to lead multidimensional teams


Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
• University degree in engineering/materials or related areas
• Minimum 10+ years of experience of which ideally 5 years were in quality concepts and managerial positions
