Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

• Act as a business partner to Global Sourcing in managing and resolving Trade financial topics and provide sound financial advice and solution. Drive continuous process improvement and system development to achieve operational efficiency
• Oversee financial accounting, reporting, treasury and system function of adidas global headquarters, production locations and partner functions e.g. supply chain management teams
• Drive vendor financing management, supplier financial review, as well as market intelligence to ensure overall compliance and governance

Key Responsibilities:

Trade Finance and Accounting Planning, Analysis and Process Optimization.

• • Take lead in driving continuous improvement on processes, systems and internal control standards of trade finance activities and to achieve financial control effectiveness and operation efficiency.
  • Drive and implement planning and analytics for trade finance, working capital,  to provide cost transparency to stakeholders.
  • Streamline and optimize end-to-end Trade finance and accounting flow involving vendors, business teams, Global share service centre and other stakeholders in the value chain.
  • Review policies and procedures to Trade finance related topics

                   Supplier Financial Analysis and Market Intelligence:

• • Own and govern the Supplier Financial Review process and methodology.
  • Establish and maintain strong cross functional working relationships among finance, vendors and sourcing teams and provide business insights for control and performance improvement.
  • Analyse and drive performance, detect risk, identify potential improvement and drive corresponding solutions and actions together with business team.

Project and Ad-hoc tasks:

• • Lead or participate team level or cross functional level projects in trade finance areas or sourcing finance related topics.
  • Support trade finance team or other team’s ad-hoc assignments.

Key Relationships:

• Senior leadership and LO teams in Sourcing
• Sourcing Finance and other head office finance teams.
• Group Accounting, Group Treasuring and Global Share Service Centers.
• Other Group Functions ( IT, Custom, Supply Chain, Sustainability etc. )
• Suppliers (Tier 1 and Tier 2 )
• Vendor Master Set Up Team

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Strong business acumen and business partnering skills
• Result oriented and pro-active with a high degree of customer orientation
• Excellent analytical skills, managing large data quantities from multiple sources
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Excellent MS Office skills (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
• Master of BI tools and data tools is preferred (Power BI, Tableau, Databricks, Python).
• People management and process improvement experience is an advantage
• Able to work and deliver results in a evolving  and dynamic environment
• Fluent in business English (written and spoken)

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

• University degree in Business Administration/ Finance/ Accounting/Economics/Data Analysis or equivalent background in related fields.
• 5+ years of work experience in related field
• Knowledge of fast-moving consumer goods, fashion industry and/or retail is an advantage
