Senior Manager Materials Costing & Portfolio Analytics
Purpose
A key player in Global Sourcing in driving Sourcing’s vision to be the Most Agile, Most Competitive, Most Digitalized & Cleanest Supply Base in the industry. Manage materials costing process & strategic allocation based on analytical data to balance material portfolio against multiple factors, e.g. availability, quality, sustainability, innovation etc. Actively manage & ensure a best-in-class and balanced supplier portfolio from costing intelligence perspectives. Contribute to building material pricing models for innovative material technologies to achieve sustainability ambition.
Key Responsibilities
- Building a balanced supplier portfolio through strategic allocation considering cost competitiveness while multiple factors like, availability, sustainability, innovation, quality, and speed also impacts sourcing decisions.
- Collaborate with Materials Costing & Portfolio Management to establish market intelligence model, cost impact analysis, financial impact simulation and forecasting for the best materials sourcing decisions.
- Develop and build and material knowledge, including supply market developments, manufacturing & costing processes to ensure best-in-class supplier portfolio.
- Manage market research activities to identify and evaluate new suppliers with Materials Operations.
- Execute the costing & portfolio strategy and give input to Materials Costing & Portfolio Management to derive sourcing strategy.
- Provide mid-/long-term recommendation of the best performing suppliers.
- Track implementation of the defined costing data & portfolio strategy.
- Ensure the accurate and continuous tracking of market data on input factors for innovative technologies.
- Building business cases from a costing & supplier portfolio perspective for sustainable materials incl. new technologies.
- Role model leadership to foster a culture of Diversity Equity & Inclusion that strives for an inclusive workplace.
- Develop and coach team to ensure the best standards of performance, appropriate skillsets and strong succession plans are in place.

Requisite Education and Experience
- University degree in Business Administration, Finance or Procurement is preferred.
- 7+ years professional experience in manufacturing, preferably in Costing or Materials function.
- Knowledge of materials construction and manufacturing process is preferred.
