Infrastructure Service Engineer (9 Months contract)

Purpose

This headcount would be supporting the IT Infrastructure team based in Singapore servicing the South East Asia business. This headcount would be involved in both local and regional IT infrastructure related projects for roll out and would act as the IT spokesperson with all internal business units and external vendors. He / She would provide necessary onsite and offsite support to internal corporate, retail and warehouse teams regarding specific infrastructure concerns and issues.   

 

Key Functional Responsibilities

  • Regional Support for South East Asia
    • Project
      • Supporting South East Asia IT related projects roll out
      • Office relocation/renovation project (if any)

 

    • Training & Leading
      • Leading and coaching new onboarding IT infra employee
      • Training for employees on new IT implementation

 

    • Off Site Support
      • Operationally support other countries in South East Asia when required

 

 

  • Head Office
    • Day to day Support
      • Provide customer service in person, via phone and email as appropriate
      • Resolve helpdesk issues including troubleshooting hardware and software issues
      • Monitoring of incidents tickets in the ticketing systems. Highlight and follow up with relevant IT teams
      • Client Machine support and management (Corporate Phone device, Dell standard device, MFP)
      • Coordinate end users communications for IT related matters (outages and advisory)
      • Applications (e.g. O365, Skype meeting)

 

    • Server Room Management
      • Server/ Network/connectivity/Security/Telephony IPT / etc which are Level 2 Infrastructure onsite support
      • Infrastructure related outage coordination and management

 

  • Off Site Support
    • Retail Support
      • Directly Coordinate with the store users on specific infrastructure concerns or incidents
      • Retail Store Network Management and Deployment, Store Renovation and Closure Related tasks
      • Back Office Server, Client machines, Foot Traffic connectivity support and management
      • Infrastructure related outage coordination and management

 

    • Warehouse Support
      • Directly Coordinate with the warehouse users on specific infrastructure concerns or incidents
      • Server/ Network/connectivity/Security/ etc which are Level 2 Infrastructure onsite support and management
      • Infrastructure related outage coordination and management

 

  • Others
    • Work on and complete the assigned project
    • Documentation for required processes and IT related change management
    • Hardware audit
    • Vendor coordination
    • Quotation preparation
    • IT Asset Management for IT hardware items

 

  • Coordination
    • Liaison between local users and business solution team and regional/global IT team
    • Global vendor and partner coordination (e.g. Singtel, AT&T, coordination)
    • Support on IT Services Management Plan, Audit and other global compliance

 

Technical Requirements

  • Setup and administration of POS system
  • Knowledge of Office 365
  • Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10
  • Windows Server 2008, 2012 & 2016
  • Remote Desktop support
  • Service pack management
  • Advanced printer / peripheral device troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP
  • Remote support for handheld smartphones, tablets, and MDM
  • Microsoft Office 2010 to Office 365
  • Knowledge in LS Retail (POS)
  • Working knowledge in Microsoft Dynamic NAV
  • Good understanding of relational database

 

Preferred Professional background/ Experience:

  • Diploma / University Degree in IT or similar.
  • Minimum of 2 – 4 years of relevant work experience in MNC environment or FMCG/Sports Retail industry
