 adidas strives to be at the forefront of innovation and we need your support to put our customer segmentation system based on big data to the next level. As a future member of the IT Innovation team you will work on data analysis methods to reveal relevant and groundbreaking consumer insights.


The analysis will be based on different data sources (e.g. public, social media, …) as well as analysis services (e.g. image, sentiment, …). You will enhance and improve our existing processing and analysis pipeline and develop new insights for our internal research & innovation teams and business partners.


We are looking for innovative scientific solutions and therefore expect you to conduct a master thesis in the course of the internship. We will support you in defining the specific topic with your university supervisor.



  • Understand, improve and enhance our data collection and processing pipeline
  • Understand business background and develop concepts for new use cases
  • Develop machine learning algorithms (unsupervised classification, data mining)
  • Derive meaningful insights for research and business teams
  • Visualize and presentation of the results to the upper/senior management teams


Your Profile:

  1. Student of computer science, data science or related subjects
  2. Strong knowledge of machine learning and statistics methods
  3. Strong knowledge of software development in Python
  4. Basic knowledge of cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure and AWS
  5. Basic knowledge of sport and behavioural science
  6. Basic knowledge of web crawling and social media analytics
  7. Excellent skills in communication and collaboration
  8. Good skills in results-oriented and independent working
  9. Fluent English (verbal and written)
  10. Enrolled as full-time student for the complete duration of the internship


Operational Setup:

  • You will be employed as an intern for the duration of 6 months
  • The final thesis topic will be defined in agreement with you and the supervising professor. A requirement for doing your thesis with adidas is the supervision commitment of a professor. We will support you in this matter.
