Understanding the adidas customers’ needs, behaviors and goals is crucial in order to provide them with the best possible products in the most convenient way. adidas cusomters in the wholesale space (Business to business) can preview future adidas products, provide feedback and can order for their stores and online sites. Understanding their behavior when new products are showcased for the first time, getting their feedback to enable collaboration with design teams, and allowing them to order convientnley are important functions. To create these insights, the IT Innovation team offers an internship with the possibility to perform your Master thesis in the field of Augmented reality customer experience and data analysis.


Bachelor/Master-Thesis Topic:

"Augmented Reality driving the digital showroom of the future. Customer experience and data analysis"



  • Hands on development using Hololense 2 / Unity or similar
  • Utilizing digital creation 3D creation to drive customer experience
  • Preprocessing interaction feedback further analyses
  • Development of an analysis framework to determine what is hot or not
  • Drive key insights about the customers’ behaviors and their goals
  • Presentation of the results to the upper/senior management teams


Your Profile:

  1. Student of Informatics, Computer Science, Information Theory, Engineering or comparable studies with at least good performance
  2. Strong programming skills, prefereably C# & Unity
  3. Enrolled as full-time student for the complete duration of the internship
  4. Good analytical skills and passion for scientific and applied research
  5. Methodological knowledge in the areas of data analytics and programming skills
  6. Interest in learning and using new concepts/technologies in the context of your research
  7. Self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently
  8. Strong time management skills
  9. Fluent in English


Operational Setup:

  • You will be employed as an intern for the duration of 6 months
  • The final thesis topic will be defined in agreement with you and the supervising professor. A requirement for doing your thesis with adidas is the supervision commitment of a professor. We will support you in this matter
