Key Account Manager - Runners Point Group

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

 

To drive profitable and sustainable market share growth within the assigned Key Account and all targeted categories (Footwear, Apparel or Accessories) while respecting the adidas brand image.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Functional

  • To represent the brand externally / the account internally as an ambassador towards all functions and vice versa and at key interfaces and milestone meetings
  • To drive the development of the account/category across Europe, formalized through the Strategic Business Category Plan with sign-off by the direct superior.
  • To understanding the account business and ensure the Strategic Business Account plans are maintained and updated on time and accurate 
  • To sell-in and agree on sell-out support and ensure formalization of the Category Plan in conjunction with support of the CtC and BAM functions
  • To ensure continuous monitoring of sell-out, order book and cost effective and reliable supply / delivery for the account.
  • To work within the agreed adidas Group trade terms with the account

 

Controlling

  • Measure progress on own KPIs and targets set by the Senior Key Account Manager
  • To report to all superiors along established guidelines (SKAM standard reports)
  • Monitor and report on customers, competitors’ activities and market development and propose/initiate/take actions
  • Provide realistic plans and forecasts on customer performance, provide solutions for problem solving and escalate any issues requiring further support
  • Ensure Customer compliance with adidas Group contracts and terms

 

Authorities:

 

  • Responsible for the commercial success (sales) of assigned Key account and category 
  • Responsible internally as the ‘ambassador’ for assigned account

 

KPI’s:

 

  • Market share growth within the category or account and ensure the adidas brand is presented best in class in line with Strategic Business Plan goals and objectives
  • Budget / Sales target compliance
  • Inventory / Sales development / Order Book Management
  • Account contractual agreements are followed at all times

 

Key Relationships:

  • Customer buying and planning departments
  • adidas KAM FLE sales, KAM FLE CtC, EU BUs, France Finance, KAM FLE Customer Service, KAM FLE demand planning, KAM FLE BAM

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Play to win mind set
  • Excellent in English
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills
  • Fully Competent with IT packages (excel, and PowerPoint to an advanced level)
  • Strong communication skills: written, verbal and presentation
  • Strong industry / market knowledge, across divisions of footwear, apparel and accessories

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • University degree in business with sales focus or equivalent
  • Key Account Management / Sales / merchandising experience is a must.
  • 2+ years’ experience of successfully working within the Sporting goods, Fashion Industries or FMCG environment at a similar level
