Key Account Manager

Purpose:

  • Drive the activation of the adidas (and/or Reebok) brand strategy with a leading account(s) in the Canadian Sporting Goods marketplace.
  • Drive profitable and sustainable growth for the adidas (and/or Reebok) brand

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Ensure our biggest product and marketing stories are brought to life within the accounts’ POS (stores and online)
  • Ensure sales and margin targets are met
  • Provide the highest standard of customer service and professionalism to our customer
  • In collaboration with Marketing, develop a seasonal account marketing plan that activates our key brand stories to life through bricks and mortar retail & online channels. 
  • Work closely with the product marketing teams to ensure the right assortment is developed for and supported by the Key Account
  • Develop, maintain, and use the Key Account Excellence tools for your account (Strategic Account Plan, Account Fact Book, Seasonal Account Plan)
  • Work with Sales Director to develop plans with 2-3 year outlook, to be built alongside both account buying teams and internal GTM/Marketing teams.
  • Closely monitor account sell through data and provide weekly update to internal staff accordingly.
  • Pro-actively manage our inventory levels. Set clear path for future growth by fueling inventory that is selling & fixing issues quickly. 
  • Work closely with customer service & supply chain departments to maximize sales and sell through by delivering orders on time and full.
  • Ensure order deadlines are adhered to and all orders are thoroughly reviewed before handing off to customer service.
  • Follow internal sales procedures for adidas Group to ensure full compliance with the Group Commercial Policy and published guidelines/procedures    
  • Constantly and proactively manage account open order book. Work with CS to develop consistent approach to address dummy order balances. Will require shared effort of constant follow up with account that leads to closure.
  • Monthly updating of latest sales and margin estimate including brand position / exposure with respect to open orders, potential cancellations, returns and markdown allowances.
  • Stay within assigned budget for any personal overheads including Travel and Expenses.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Sales Director.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Minimum 4 years industry experience in Sales or Product, preferably both
