Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization: 

The Digital Strategy team is a member of the Strategy & Innovation function within Digital as part of Global sales. Our focus is on defining executable strategies leveraging digitalization of the company to accelerate value creation and growth.  Our team exists of analysts, strategists, business modelers, strategic designers and is located across Herzogenaurach and Amsterdam

 

Key Accountabilities 

  • Student of business, or marketing with focus on digital, human computer interaction and a general affinity and interest in digital 
  • Enrolled as fulltime student for the complete duration of the internship. Or in the so called gap year between Bachelor and Master’s degree (EU citizens only! Only applies to EU citizens due to working permit regulations.)
  • Fluent English language skills
  • Very good MS Office skills
  • Team player who enjoys working in an international environment
  • Very good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for sports
  • Assist in Strategy definition initiatives
  • Participate in activities to analyze consumer insights and commercial modeling
  • Drive business analysis topics
  • Contribute to shaping the strategy practice

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities  

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills to share ideas and influence Senior Management with fact-based reasoning 
  • Solid foundation in continuous improvement tools and services, e.g. problem solving and process improvement 
  • Result-driven way of working with clear action-bias 
  • Expertise in project management and structuring, i.e. proven ability to develop comprehensive project plans and drive alignment with stakeholders 
  • Strategic communication skills and visual finesse to build business cases, strategy papers and internal pitch decks 
  • Solid skills in Word, Excel, Power Point etc. 
  • Strong financial modeling knowledge 
  • Familiarity with collaboration and tracking tools, e.g. SmartSheet, JIRA, and Confluence 
  • Advanced methods of data analysis and reporting

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:  

 

  • Working towards advanced degree or qualification in Digital strategy, Ecommerce,  Management, Engineering, Finance, EconomicsAccounting, PMO. 
  • 5+ years of broad based operational and/or strategic Digital experience within Retail and/or brand driven environment 
  • Language skills: business level English spoken and written
