To explore sport products and athlete performance and perception, rooted in the sport science dimensions of exercise physiology, haptics, psychology, and others, informed by data, with the goal to deliver insights related to discovery of  athlete benefits, contributions to the creation of innovation concepts, and validation of holistic innovation concepts.


o    Discover, incubate, inspire, and nurture athlete-led performance innovations
o    Enhance, build, and use performance and perception testing guidelines, processes, and tools for Apparel and Footwear.
o    Coordinate and drive internal and external science programs
o    Ensure athlete insights are Equity building and inclusive of athletes of diverse gender, race, and ability
o    Contribute to evolve a strategic research agenda to influence sustainability workstreams from a human physical and emotional connection.


o    Define new tools & metrics for holistic and perceivable performance benefits
o    Recruit athletes to test products and related athletic experiences

o    Apply innovative techniques, test results, and expert knowledge on adidas innovation concept needs for the development of disruptive & sustainable, product, process, and inclusive experiences for athletes
o    Work as an integral member of the adidas innovation Athlete Science team to deliver new innovative, inclusive, sustainable, and commercial insights, concepts, products, and experiences.
o    Be a collaborative, creative and confident player on the Athlete Science Team.


o    Advanced University degree (PhD preferred) in exercise physiology, haptics, ergonomics or equivalent with a focus on athletic performance.
o    Experience with human thermoregulation and their behavioral adaptation
o    Experience with haptics, human decision making and generation specific behavior related to inclusive and sustainable lifestyle
o    Initiating and driving collaborative research projects
o    At least 3 years of relevant experience in diverse science fields
o    Experience working within global inclusive teams
o    Demonstrated ability to innovate
o    English language skills
o    Excellent communication and presentation skills
