Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

The Manager, Digital Activation plays a critical role in driving the adidas brand within the market. The Manager, Digital Activation is responsible for delivering a holistic digital strategy focused on cohesive consumer experiences across all touchpoints, whilst ensuring maximum impact across activities.


The Manager, Digital Activation is responsible for connecting the various consumer engagement experiences (data capture opportunities) across the different sales channels to enable a meaningful view of our consumers' values, desires and habits, leading to multi-channel value exchange between them and our brand.


The scope of the Manager, Digital Activation encompasses brand communications activities as well as initiatives and tactics specifically to drive our e-Com business, while also supporting digital retail foot traffic driving initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of the digital team
  • Manage the implementation & operations of CRM, traffic driving, email marketing, and membership loyalty program
  • Oversee adidas eCommerce marketing and content, including adidas app, eCommerce site content, conversion programs, data capture programs, and
  • Oversee the centralised media buying across the Pacific for all brand and eCom activity
  • Oversee the content plan for adidas platforms, websites, apps, social networks and mobile platforms, specifically taking into account our core consumers and leveraging our sports marketing and influencer relationships
  • Drive thought leadership and innovation throughout the digital team and broader brand team
  • Oversee the planning, execution and implementation of digital campaigns and leverage of global tools and networks in the local market.
  • Oversee the Performance Marketing strategy to drive traffic to our e-Com business including Paid Search (SEM), paid social, display, and affiliate marketing to ultimately align cross-functionally
  • Oversee consumer and data acquisition and grow and refine adidas digital consumer database
  • Leverage adidas digital data to optimize communications and touchpoints
  • Manage the digital & media MWB requirements
  • Manage local digital brand agencies
  • Manage relationships with key global stakeholders across all digital channels

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:


  • Specific marketing experience in digital strategy, planning and implementation and execution either in-house or within a digital agency.
  • Skilled in agency management through previous experience.
  • Has an understanding of all marketing disciplines and how to integrate a digital plan into a holistic marketing strategy.
  • Proven experience in performance marketing specific to online retail, specifically  SEM, PPC, display, and affiliates.
  • Strong understanding of paid and organic social media channels relevant to youth consumers.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including meeting facilitation and presentations.
  • Ability to think innovatively and creatively.
  • Strong project management skills and track record for successful and timely implementation of plans.
  • Willingness to be hands on and a team player.
  • Very strong in building and maintaining relationships.


Requisite Education & Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • University degree in business studies/marketing/communications.
  • Fluent in English (writing and verbal).
  • IT skills: Outlook and Excel: Intermediate; Word and PowerPoint: advanced; Photoshop or InDesign experience would be advantageous.
