Manager, Human Resources (Retail)

Key Responsibilities

Own Retail HR Function

  • Propose HR strategy for Own Retail in accordance with own retail development plan
  • Set up and maintain HC Planning for own retail based on productivity review
  • Optimize recruitment channels and enhance recruitment efficiency to support aggressive business expansion
  • Adapt and implement performance management system to drive performance culture in the retail stores
  • Propose own retail organization and grade hierarchy, develop career ladders for own retail staff according to grade hierarchy
  • Work with Rewards team closely to install proper remuneration system for own retail which includes but not limited to salary structure, commission scheme, benefits program and recognition program
  • Work with Retail Training department to map out development roadmap and conduct regular promotion cycle and build talent pipeline for upcoming new store expansion
  • Establish the effective and efficient cooperation with qualified labor/personnel agencies to ensure labor regulations are fully complied.
  • Maintain a high level of communication with retail team and promote positive employee relations in the working environment
  • Develop the best HR practices to support the retail operations
  • Advise the retail managers (district manager/store manager) on how to motivate, coach and manage the retail staff

HR Management for Retail Operations:

  • Work closely with Line Management to understand their business needs and how to translate those into HR initiatives, act as a Consultant to the business.
  • Manage the recruitment process and HR support for positions in support area
  • Support on annual personnel budgeting process.
  • Support on annual salary rounds and promotions/salary adjustments for defined areas in accordance with GSMS-process
  • Support the implementation of Performance Management and talent development tools and concepts (such as Talent Management, TLU and Succession Planning initiatives)
  • Prepare HR reports on regular basis

Others

  • Provide job coaching for subordinates
  • Participate HR projects when necessary

 

Experience/ Skills Required

  • Bachelor degree required in business related majors
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in HR function in consumer/ fashion industry, experience in Retail will be a plus
  • Strategic planning and project management skills
  • Strong communication skills and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and has the ability to deal with conflicts and ambiguity
  • A good team player
  • Native Mandarin and fluent English
