Manager, Omni-channel Marketing APAC

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization: 

  • Support development of Omni-Channel strategic plan for APAC in line with global and guide country and cluster to ensure efficient management across own Retail, Wholesales and Visual Merchandizing 

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Deliver Global VM guidelines to Country/Clusters VM & In-store Communications (ISC) teams.  
  • Ensure local executions compliance with Global  
  • Offer training to countries/clusters VM teams. 
  • Within global aligned framework, support creation of new fresh VM & ISC approach to Consumer Experience for adidas APAC.  
  • Partner with the business’ relevant teams (BU, global Concept-To-Consumer (CTC) & countries/clusters) to create clear requirements and align briefs whilst ensuring continued alignment to Brand objectives and positioning. 
  • Support development of permanent and semi-permanent as well as tactical VM & ISC tools for each of adidas’ labels that respond to their target consumer profile. 
  • Support development of guidelines and tools for countries/clusters to implement the concepts. 
  • Brief APAC Brand Communication on retail requirements to ensure Brand tools are retail and consumer relevant. 
  • Build a common retail marketing calendar integrating Global categories calendar and adapted to different retail landscapes (own retail – franchise – wholesales) 
  • Improve processes. 
  • Monitor the Retail industry (brick and mortar and digital) for best practices that can be adapted for adidas. 
  • Coordinate change and innovations through industry analysis in VM & ISC at both the consumer level and the implementation practices.  
  • Coordinate external agencies (ISC specialists, CI/infographic agencies) 
  • Coordinate between department tactics and operational objectives. 
  • Additional assignments or special projects as assigned or agreed. 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

  • Ability to support implementation of strategy 
  • Strong presentation/communication, negotiation and influencing skills, especially with senior stakeholders within a global matrix organization.  
  • Distinct track record of success and high-level VM knowledge 
  • Strong cross-functional and stakeholder management experience across commercial functions (e.g. marketing, sales, etc.) and support functions (finance preferred), as well as different organizational levels (Global, Market, etc.) 
  • Strong industry knowledge, across divisions—footwear, apparel and accessories—and across all Bus.  
  • Understanding of Asian markets’ consumers, accounts, economic environment and commercial needs 

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications: 

  • 5-7 years of experience in VM required. Regional experience preferred.  
  • University degree in Business or equivalent professional experience, ideally in Sales and/or Marketing, MBA preferred 
  • Sporting goods industry experience required 
  • Fluent in English 
  • Has lived and worked in different cultures or has substantial experience working in regional teams 
  • Willingness to travel upwards of 20% of time
