Manager APP Operations eCommerce

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

 

As a manager in the Digital Operations team, you will be responsible for providing key support alongside driving improvements towards day to day business operations within the Europe market, with focus on the Adidas APP. The team plays a huge role in making sure the premium experiences our customers deserve and expect come to life as intended, elevating the eCom business to even higher standards with minimal consumer friction. You will be working across multiple systems and cross functional teams to ensure smooth day to day operations throughout the entire customer journey, where the platform landscape is constantly changing. Driven by your natural technical mindset and your business acumen, you will be exposed to a broad portfolio of stakeholder groups working together on creating the future. One of the key goals for this role is the ability to set clear revenue targets for the app in EU and help run the App business against these targets.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Develop APP business models and drive BUSINESS KPI’S: 

  • Drive input and influence on behalf of the EU market towards Global teams.
  • Participate in the process of gathering new ideas and updates to the APP experience.
  • Develop yearly and quarterly App revenue targets based on overall EU targets.
  • Develop strategies to deliver said targets each quarter with support from marketing and ops teams.
  • Establish strong working relationships with Product Owners, Developers and IT support teams.
  • Support improvements to APP and drive the delivery of new features to support revenue goals.
  • Establish strong working relationships with EU Membership Teams, Marketing Teams, Analytics Teams and Buying and Planning teams.

DAY TO DAY OPERATIONS:

  • Be the local ambassador for understanding and showcasing APP capabilities and features that can benefit the local market goals, with the ability to articulate technical subjects and pass knowledge to less technical audiences.
  • Assist in identifying App improvements in partnership with Market and Global teams.
  • Help with the testing and verification of major APP releases. Participate in weekly app demo meetings and provide feedback.
  • Develop and document business processes for new use cases such as APP only product launches, new membership specific benefits and special commercial activations.
  • Partner with marketing teams to drive optimization of traffic on the app across affiliate, paid social, paid search and organic search.

 

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • College/University degree from an accredited institution in Information Management , MBA or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2-3 years of eCommerce / Retail / APP experience, preferably within an operations role.
  • Experience in mobile APPs within an eCommerce environment.
  • Technical issue management, incident management and any coding language is a plus. 
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of IT Systems, performance testing and monitoring, web analytics tool and quantitative data analysis.
  • Knowledge of tools and methodologies such as Adobe Analytics, Data Analysis, Salesforce, Caching, Payment Solutions, Order Management Systems, Agile ways of working and A/B testing.
  • Knowledge of IT components and how they are connected such as CDN, middleware, APIs, databases and servers.
  • Foundational understanding of the eCom architectural landscape on a high level
  • Practical experience and of MS-Excel, MS-Word and MS-Powerpoint.
  • Basic to intermediate experience in workflow/task management and documentation solutions, such as Atlassian JIRA & Confluence
  • A clear understanding of business levers which impact eCom commercial success such as conversation rate, traffic, average order value, ‘Click-to-delivery’ & cancellation rates.
     
  • Knowledge of eCommerce platforms, processes and data flows preferred.
  • Hands on experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud, IBM Sterling and Adyen is a plus.
