Manager Assortment Planning GCA ECOM & FO

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

 

  • DRIVE end to end process for global GFO and value range building across BU, Channel and global team
  • DRIVE assortment plans for ECom special event by platform and FO stores

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Review and discuss with MOPS, BU and Channels timelines and process improvements
  • Propose dates for next season FO milestones, get confirmation with Global
  • Constant communication and sharing of GFO/Value Range process with all Stakeholders
  • Working with BU and AP to validate Value Range (GFO+C/O+Global SMU) to make sure they are not overlapped with INLINE range
  • Adjust the released global GFO list (v1, v1.5, v2) for GCA and share with GCA BUs
  • Propose value range Carry Over requests with channel forecast to global team
  • Communicate with global DTC team to get global GKA SMU as one source of value range
  • Drive the discount and launch date alignment among FO, ECom and Franchise DPC
  • Be the contact window and drive the SPEED article proposal across ECom and FO team
  • Create assortment plans by event by platform based on ECom special event option plan, historical best seller & competitor analysis
  • Drive cross-brand alignment with Speedboat team to close the assortment plan gap of Ecom special event
  • Map the best seller with adidas history and market competitors
  • Communicate AP with channel team at GTM milestones and final handover to channel team (for depth completion), with SLT sign-off
  • Revise the assortment plan based on the feedback from channel team and put into action during AP building to support & drive the business
  • Develop assortment strategy, local needs and sell-out data for FO stores & eCom
  • Create and Recompile a clear merchandising strategy for each platform
  • Work with BU for the solution of assortment gaps
  • Attend all GTM key milestone meetings
  • Receive feedback and support request from channels
  • Measure assortment compliance with channel team (comparison of AP vs actual buy)
  • Review actual buy from channel team and escalate potential business gap with internal option plan and market trend
  • Review FO/special event sell out results for all categories, all angles
  • Ensure all relevant data is aligned and input into the HubLight system
  • Work with Mops team to make sure the range readiness before channel forecast and make sure forecast has been delivered to Demand Planning team on time

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to implement strategy
  • Presentation/communication, negotiation and influencing skills, especially with senior stakeholders within a global matrix organization.
  • Distinct track record of success and high-level assortment management knowledge
  • Numerical & analytical skills
  • Cross-functional and stakeholder management experience
  • Industry knowledge, across divisions—footwear, apparel and accessories—and across all BUs.
  • Understanding of Asian markets’ consumers, accounts, economic environment and commercial needs

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of marketing management experience with a recognized top tier brand.  Regional experience preferred.
  • Exposure to other marketing disciplines preferable, e.g. retail / ecom / merchandising, or sales channel experience
  • University degree in Business or equivalent professional experience, ideally in Sales and/or Marketing
  • Sporting goods industry experience required
  • Fluent in English
  • Willingness to travel upwards of 15% of time
