Manager Business Development - Brand Strategy

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

 

The Business Development Manager will support key categories in the creation of Strategic Business Plans for Business Units within the NAM market. In addition, they will be responsible for managing and executing key projects that deliver tools and resources to support BU’s throughout the GTM process. This role will drive consumer, business, and market insights based on data and analytics that supports decision making for cross functional strategic initiatives.

 

Specific focus: Brand Strategy

 

Key Responsibilities:

Support the implementation and execution of the Global Brand Strategy

• Project manage and facilitate initiatives and projects in partnership with key brand leaders

• Execute tracking against targets, KPIs and metrics of success (consumer driven and financial driven)

 

Support creation of SBPs and implementation of the Global Brand Strategy for business units / categories

• Manage and track the process, timelines, and template for BU SBP’s

• Support with tools and resources to improve strategic planning and GTM process, as they relate to the strategy

• Facilitate collaboration with cross-functional partners and Commercial Channels

• Execute and run data and analytics - categories, franchises, models / articles and consumer behavior; utilizing a DTC led approach

• Create tools to track and measure against key KPI’s

• Support BU’s with local business, market and consumer insights, and additional analytics based on state of category, industry, and competition

 

Support Analytics, Reporting and Executive Presentations to drive collaboration and decision making

• Provide regular reporting with Global and local partners; Execute monthly business reports, Support 3x1 process, Facilitate Gameplan Operations sessions

• Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis, including financial modelling. Synthesize key insights

• Assist and prepare key presentations with strong storytelling and analysis for leadership

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

• Team player to work cross functionally to achieve goals and objectives

• Experience with working on multiple projects simultaneously

• Experience in creating analytics, market and trend assessment and consumer insights

• Ability to be self-directed while working under tight deadlines

• Ability to understand and use data to make decisions and influence outcomes - excellent logical thinking and analytical skills

• Ability to effectively communicate (both written and verbal)

• Ability to facilitate discussions in small and large groups

• Ability to manage and participate in complex global and regional projects as assigned

• PMO skillset - project management principles and methodologies

• Fluency in MS Office, strong Powerpoint and Excel modeling skills

• Understanding of P&L with Financial and modeling knowledge preferred

• Willingness to learn – to build business acumen and develop general management competency

• Proficiency with Smartsheet and Microstrategy a plus

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

· University degree in business / marketing or equivalent experience

· Min. 2 years in Consulting, CPG, Banking and/or Sport / Lifestyle / Fashion industry with focus on brand / marketing / merchandising

· Proven track record in business strategy, driving analytics, executive strategic presentations and project management
